It's kind of been going downhill for years, but was okay. Tonight the food was unfinishable. People were given the wrong meal, one was forgotten entirely and when it did come out 10 minutes after everyone else got their plate the Asian ahi tuna was over a rosemary mushroom gravy (pictured) instead of wasabi mashed potatoes which had to come back after. I had the special, $50 worth of dry overcooked Chilean sea bass that came with a soup that just... Wasn't. It was an oregano heavy pasta sauce with a couple cubes of andouille and overcooked penne pretending to be a soup (that once again didn't come out on time).

Service was fine, even if drinks ended up on the wrong ticket (and she spilled salad dressing on someone's coat, did a double take, but didn't acknowledge it), and normally I would speak with staff to correct things instead of going online, but when they know things are wrong (getting different table's food, missing meals that have wrong ingredients, two hours until entrees) there really isn't anything you can do other than pay, and not come back until you hear things have turned around.

Club 609 used to be an institution but... Damn. The mighty have really fallen if this is how standard service at 7:00-9:30pm goes on a Friday.

The last few years the only totally good experience I've had was when we ordered appetizers only, and tonight that was the only thing that was made well or correctly. No one finished...

Last night we drove for an hour to try this restaurant. It was worth the drive.

The manager help take my reservation over the phone.

When we arrived, the drinks I had preordered were to our table promptly.

We tried the Ahi Tuna Bruschetta and the Portobello Fries to start with. I don’t normally like tuna, but this appetizer was delicious! My wife and I split both equally, but I could have easily had those as my meal.

For dinner I chose the “fresh catch” which turned out to be grilled swordfish. My wife got the pecan encrusted chicken. Both were tasty, however, the swordfish stood on a different level compared to the chicken.

Everything we tried at Club 609 was phenomenal! When a delicious piece of chicken that was nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection is the “downside” of the night, I’d say the evening was a success.

The staff were kind and attentive. The atmosphere was welcoming. Everyone in the club seemed to enjoy themselves.

We saw people there to watch sports, celebrate birthdays, catch up as friends, dine after a game, and some there for the drinks at happy hour. The space accommodated us all wonderfully. Some places have the game on too loud, or you feel like the loud table next to you is talking in your ear. But Club 609’s high ceilings and open layout still seemed to allow everyone to feel comfortable, no matter why they were there.

A totally...

Here’s a NED-style review for Club 609 | Restaurant & Bar:

✅ What Works Well Eclectic American menu with creative twists on classics—burgers, pasta, and small plates. Lively, artsy atmosphere with colorful decor and upbeat energy. Full bar with fun cocktails and a solid beer selection. Great for casual hangouts, date nights, or group outings. Attentive staff and fast service.

👎 What to Watch Out For Can get loud during peak hours—more bar vibe than quiet dining. Some dishes may be hit-or-miss depending on the night. Limited healthy or dietary-specific options. Parking availability may vary.

🎯 Verdict Club 609 offers a fun, funky dining experience with bold flavors and a vibrant setting—perfect for a relaxed night out with friends or drinks and apps.

Went for our anniversary dinner. Service and foo was excellent! Atmosphere was a little noisy, but there were a few large groups throughout the place because of Christmas. Highly recommend the portobello fries and bacon wrapped water chestnuts as appetizers! My wife had the Cajun Napoleon, which was immense amount of food! She enjoyed it very much and had enough for dinner the next day. I had the salmon, Cajun style, medium rare. It was done very nicely! The sides were very good. I especially enjoyed the flash fried parm spinach. A very unique presentation of spinach! Of the two glasses she had, my wife enjoyed the Filino Cab more than the Rombauer Zin. Very enjoyable time for our anniversary!

The food was quite decent but for the price it could be better. Chef Aden came out to talk to us a bit which was nice. The FHO staff left a bit to be desired. Everyone was cordial but maybe they were understaffed. Also, it was a tiny bit off putting watching waitstaff carry trays of food on their shoulders with their hair so close to the food. In the past, when it has been very busy the atmosphere can me chaotic and terrible. I experienced once a full bar seated with an entire row of people standing behind them. At a table with my back to the bar waitstaff was carrying trays of food above my head.
