Heavenly Donuts — Restaurant in Joplin

The service is excellent, the people are friendly, the food is heavenly, the prices are wonderful. I'm not a big donut eater, usually. On the occasion I crave a donut, I crave a kind of donut. Like, I'll crave a raspberry-filled donut. Since I found Heavenly Donuts, I crave the place. Even if I don't particularly feel like eating a donut, I'll go buy one and eat it. When they aren't busy, Anna will chat me up until I'm ready to go home and sleep. Overnights are hard. You need a place to decompress. This is a great place for that, once the breakfast rush is gone. Even busy, it doesn't feel overwhelmingly full. Just crowded. When they fill a donut, they FILL a donut. And it costs what you would expect to pay for donuts, instead of being five or six dollars because it's pink and has fruity pebbles on it. My daughter adores the sausage rolls. My son can barely finish one donut, and he's my big donut eater. They're that good and that filling. Everyone should try this place....

The absolute softest donuts ever! Not sure what they put in these to make them soft... maybe clouds? I'm amazed at how fresh these donuts are and the employees are so friendly. I believe they are a family from Micronesia. My kids like the long chocolate and maple bars, but all of the donuts are amazing! Personally when I'm not cutting out sugar, I will go with the plain glazed or raspberry filled. The apple fritters are huuuuuuuuge! The facility is very clean and if you don't want to stop in, there is a drive thru window for your convenience. Everything here is made from scratch with fresh and local ingredients; you can't go wrong with the maple bacon long john or the classic old-fashioned donuts, and the staffs are always willing to accommodate to suggestions of new creations. (The cake doughnuts are especially good and a must get if you are in the area!)
