I would like to say this review is not about the food. I think they have the best food in town as far as chinese food. This review is about there customer service. The past 3 orders I have recieved from Oriental Express have been wrong. First one, was an addon that was never put in the bag. Second one, I specifically asked for delivery and waited over and hour and fifteen minutes for my food. Got a called back 15 minutes before they close and then they asked me when I was coming to get it. Then the third time was with chicken lomen. I didn't want to spend 8.95 on a meal when it was for my 1.5 year old so i ended up ordering regular lomen and asked the female if they can just add chicken to the order and put it in there. She said yes, she then told me 5 pieces of chicken was a dollar and asked how many pieces of chicken would i like in it. I said 10 would be fine. I also stated if it could be the kind they already put in the chicken lomen and she replied breaded. I said ok. To me it didn't matter if it was breaded or not. As long as it was in there I was ok with it. I get my order 45 minutes later and the chicken was on the side. So I called up there and spoke to someone about it that admitted it was their fault and it was a misunderstanding but they didn't offer to fix anything. I paid a 1.00 less than the regular chicken lomen and they did not care at all or try to make it right. It was pretty much, "yup, our fault. Is that all you wanted to tell us?". They did not care whatsoever that it was a mess up or misunderstanding, like somehow i should know that i couldn't order it that way. So afterwords she clarified after she realized i was a customer and didn't know. I have never been talked down to or belittled for the way i have ordered my food before but she had no problem telling me i was wrong for ordering it like that. I paid almost 50.00 for this order as well. I have been going to there for 14 years now. I used to get takeout there when I was in highschool and they lost a perfectly good customer . I am deeply disappointed that their reputation has went to there heads. Also i would like to add that when they were late delivering my order the second time the delivery driver cussed at me. I mean srsly, what type of hostile work environment do you have to not actually watch what u say in front of customers. I am generally a very happy and good customer and really contemplated on writing this because of my history with really loving there food. But honestly the way I treated was unnecessary. Read moreI am not really from this area. My wife, son and I moved to this area about 3 years ago. I have only eaten here 3 times. I have never been disappointed. The Staff is always so nice and friendly. When I have had it delivered to my job the drives are always smiling and friendly. My son is 11 and is hyperfunctioning Autistic. He has food aversions and is in general a picky eater. I showed him the menu and he said he wanted the Beef and Broccoli. I did explain to my son that everything would be mixed together and touching. (something he has always hated is mixed food and/or food touching each other) He agreed. I will not lie I honestly thought i was spending money rice. lol i did not believe my son would eat it after he saw. He did though and he ate almost every bit of it, and said to me that is was so good he just could not finish it because he was so full. I just had some delivered again today. This time i got him white rice instead of fried. He almost half the beef and broccoli and half the rice. (he loves rice with soy sauce) he started taking the sauce from the beef and broccoli and put it in his rice. He said that it had a lot of good flavor. This place has pleased probably the most picky eater I have ever seen in my life. Thank you all so much for the great food.

Read moreI’ve ordered food from Orient Express many times and have generally been satisfied with it. This evening, however, was a different experience. I ordered kung pao chicken. I picked it up. After opening the food container at home it was obviously a much smaller portion than usual. Perhaps 70% full. Their recent price increase hasn’t bothered me as I realize costs are going up, but I expect consistency. I called to let them know and the person who answered said I could bring the food back and maybe they would give me more. They basically said I was lying as they kept repeating that they always give the same amount. I asked to speak with a manager but was refused. I asked for a partial credit for next time and was also refused being told that I already had a meal and that giving me a credit would be like giving me a free meal. Terrible customer service.
