Went to watch my daughter play tennis in Joplin Missouri and found ourselves at a Honduran Restaurant called âLatin Fusionâ
The reason I picked this place is because it had 112 reviews on Google and all of them had 5 stars! That is something I had to check out.
I ordered the Pastelitos $10.50 3 deep fried corn pastries filled with potatoes and your choice of chicken or beef. Topped with shredded cabbage, pico and Honduran sauce. They were so so so so so good! They had a street food vibe and were the perfect crunch and I got mine with beef. I absolutely love ground beef, and this was delicious. Topped with the crunchy acidic cabbage to take the deep fried shell, perfect balance.
My daughter orders the kids quesadillas with chicken for a .99 cent upgrade which we were happy to pay. I tried a bite of her rice and instantly had to order some rice and beans of my own for they were that good. The rice had little chunks of potatoes which was a nice touch. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and I couldnât speak more highly of this establishment.
Only 9 tables and a quant bar area with 3 or 4 bar stools. My daughter and I canât wait to come back.
Before we left we ordered a piece of Tres Leches Cake and so glad we did! The velvety texture and the sweet cream made it the perfect way to end our meal.
If you find your self near Joplin and want some yummy Latin food do yourself a favor and stop in.
I do have a questionâŠâŠ.if you have been here what is your favorite dish so I can try it???
The Chefs View was nice on this day and glad to take in the Flavors.

Read moreEvery once in a while, I come across a place thatâs an absolute banger, and today was one of those days! While in Joplin, MO, I was craving something Colombian for lunch but ended up finding something even betterâLatin Fusion, a Honduran cafĂ© that totally blew me away.
From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Osmond, who quickly got me seated and took my drink order. I kicked things off with their Chorizo Queso, which I had read about, and let me tell youâthis stuff needs to be bottled and sold at every Latin restaurant ASAP. Hands down, one of the best Iâve ever had!
For my entrĂ©e, I went all in with a Honduran Tamale, Pupusa, Fried Yuca, and Plantains, plus I couldnât resist ordering a Baleada (one of my all-time favorites). The Baleada was so good that next time, Iâm ordering three!
Not only was the food fantastic, but the hospitality was just as impressive. Osmond and his cousin, who own the cafĂ©, took the time to check in on me and explain each dish. I made sure to let them know that this white boy knows his Latin foodâit definitely wasnât my first time! đ
If you love Latin cuisine, Latin Fusion is absolutely worth the drive. Do yourself a favor and check them out! đ„đđł

Read moreLatin Fusion, bold, authentic Latin flavors with fresh ingredients and a modern twist. Every dish is made with passion. I can give up Mexican food for this. I picked the perfect plate of food. Oh my God it was good! The Baleada Supreme for me and the Honduran tour for my wife. Check the pictures. Also go to the website and review the big menu. First time, I absolutely recommend these two meals. Comes with chips and mild salsa. Ask for the hot stuff. I am not an expert on Honduran food, but at the same time I am not a stranger to it either. I have eaten at several very authentic restaurants. I liked them, but nothing compares to the 5-star food on the plates here. The owner is very involved. Working in his small restaurant, presenting every plate to his customers with pride. Very nice guy. The restaurant is small, comfortable, likely gets crowded and will get even more crowded as the news gets out. The food was amazing. Nothing left on my plate. And a shocking statement from my wife. One of her favorite restaurants anywhere is the Red Onion in Joplin. She said âLatin Fusion is now my new favorite...
