Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Joplin

Friendly service and really good food. We love the fish and the chicken here. The coleslaw is awesome. Not a bad price and you get your food quickly. All the above is true however.... Last night I witnessed a horrible thing at this Long John silvers. My family and I stopped in to get some dinner to go and after a very long wait a waitress brings us our food, we don't even get two feet out the door and another waitress hollers at us and said we was given the wrong food. So my daughter and I followed her to the counter and she is being yelled at by the night manager at the counter and was told to put the bags of food in the trash. She sets them on top of the trash can by the register still in the bags... Now I'm watching this girl not able to bag my food well because she's upset from being yelled at and I ask her if they are going to throw that food away if I could just have it. She asked her manager and was told no cause it's already in the trash... I spoke up and said that I know several families and one with a toddler who could use this food. There was nothing wrong with that food it wasn't touched and it was still in the bags so... Why not give it to someone in need??? They could even give food to the homeless shelter's. Why is food being wasted? I have loved going to long johns since I was a kid, my kids love it and now my granddaughters. My family and I are refusing to go back after...

disgustingly dirty years of dirt everywhere when we entered, there was soda split all over a table chairs and floor after ordering our food we went to find a seat all the tables and chairs where covered in food, ketchup and soda I had to clean our table with paper towles from the bathroom this was NOT during lunch or dinner rush there was only a couple people already eatting we sat about 20 min and no employees cleaned up the spilt soda another customer got up and told the cashier that she already mentioned the mess the cashier giggled and said after I take my lunch ill get a mop and clean it up the other employees said "oh yeah she told me earlier and I forgot to clean it" the cooks in the kitchen where grabing food with their bare hands lucking thier fingers and then grabbing more food thats when I saw the ceiling in the kitchen...

As always the food was delicious, very greasy, but Ymmm! Service was great too. There were no other customers when we got there, but the restaurant looked like there had been a large rush with lots of kids. LoL. The floor and tables were dirty, I wiped one off myself for us to sit at. The Manager was conducting an interview and it seemed like the crew were short handed, but she still had to remind/tell them to clean the lobby area. I've worked fast food, the first thing you do is make sure the lobby and restrooms are clean and trash is out. Since it is the only LJS in the Joplin/Webb City area I guess they can get away with it. However, if you have the time and gas head to the one in Neosho! Always clean, always a 5...
