Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Joplin

I have never cared nor felt compelled enough to leave a bad reiew somewhere. We pulled into a stall and waited 20+ minutes for someone to take our order. We thought perhaps it was due to a stall possibly malfunctioning, because sometimes that happens, but as we were already pulling away someone had came on the intercom. We decided to just go through the drive thru since there were only 2 vehicles in line for it. When we placed our order, we just got 2 ice cream drinks, one without whipped cream. We waited an additional 10+ minutes. When we came to the window, there were all sorts of drinks, including ice cream ones, all sitting out. So my first thought is, great. My shake is probably a little melted. Whatever. Then she repeats our order, and we confirmed. As I'm handed my drink, there is halfway melted whipped topping on it. Seriously. A 30+ minute wait for melted ice cream that they couldn't even get right after they had stood there staring at it for 10 minutes until we pulled up. Absolutely...

Ran by on break and told them I wanted the 5 piece Tender ONLY, which is exactly what is says on menu. So then intercom comes on and all i hearing is yelling in background and cant make out a single word. So I respond back "Tenders Only". Well, then they show up at the car with the meal when didn't even tell them a drink or anything since only wanted tenders. I again tell the guy at car that all I had asked for twice was tenders only. So he brings the food back inside and sit there and watch every other car pull up and receive there food while I am still waiting for the tenders only. They don't give me an update or tell me anything and I don't see how it could of taken that long to just take the tenders. After watching the same guy come out 4 more times and bring everyone else there food I finally just gave up and left. This was the worse experience I have ever had at Sonic and remember why I never go...

I went there on 04/21/2025 at 10:37 PM. I was in stall #18. I pressed the button and the screen let me know they were notified. There were two cars parked in stalls and no one in the drive thru. I began to worry they didn't know I was there so at 10:46 PM I called them. A girl answered the phone I asked if they were open . She said yes that she knew we were there but they closed at 11:00 PM and were knocking out closing duties and she would be with me. No problem. At 10:55PM I called back to no answer. At 11:00PM I noticed the cars that were there weren't customers when workes walked out to them and the lights went out. I am under the impression that if you're open until 11:00PM you are working until 11:00PM and not closing early so you can get off as soon as you close. I also don't appreciate being told she'd be with me and not offering to take my order when we made contact since I was the only...
