I have never been so disrespected in my life, especially by a MANAGER.
I came in today because a few days back I received my food and it was horribly made. It looked like a 5 year old put it together. The food was incredibly messy, some of the food was burnt on one side, the other side the tortilla was still hard. They don’t give enough meat like the other Taco Bell locations. I called and spoke with Marcus the manager (very understanding and respectful) that night and he promised me that he would take care of it as long as I could bring in the receipt and wrote his name on it.
Today, I came in and explained what happened and how Marcus put my name in the book for complaints and he told me to tell whoever worked there to look my name up and they’ll replace my order. Marcus said he was happy to take care of it and even offered to make it himself the right way. Today, another customer started ordering with the sweet young cashier who helped me earlier and the manager came over to him and started yelling at him and embarrassing him in front of the customer about how he didn’t ask the manager first. He didn’t even get a word in to apologize, only her talking over him and stomping away. I waited until the lady was done ordering and asked to speak with the manager. He went back and told her and all I could hear was him apologizing to her in the back. After waiting about 10 mins, she came up to me with a huge attitude. She told me that she just got off of the phone with Marcus and he told her that he told me that night that I had to bring in the food that I ordered that night! How does that make any sense? How am I supposed to bring food in that was a few days old? If he told me, I would’ve remembered because I spoke to him for a little while that night. It just didn’t add up what she said. I also spoke up about the young man and how unprofessional it was for her to do that in front of a customer. She said “I didn’t yell at him” plainly. All of the customers waiting for their food today witnessed what happened. It wasn’t just me. For the rest of the conversation, she spent giving me a horrible attitude with matching body language, raising her voice, talking down to me and over me, and being completely rude to the point where I felt like she was insulting me. She ended it by saying “this is too much food to replace. It costs too much. If you have a problem, call 1-800-Taco Bell.” I replied, “ok, and what is your name?” She said “I don’t have to give it to you” and stormed off. I can’t provide a name since she didn’t give me one but beware of this location. Not only was I treated extremely unprofessionally but they did not honor their word and replace the horribly made food. I will NEVER go to another Taco Bell. This manager completely ruined this company for me. I’m assuming all the other complaints about a female manager are of her because they are spot on. She didn’t even feel bad for embarrassing him in front of other customers. I was appalled that she was the manager. The other people working there today were clearly afraid of her. Not only did she lack respect, professionalism, and overall appropriate behavior, she needs to learn how to treat people right whether it’s her own employees or the customers. Your customers determine your success at your business. You’ve lost more than one customer today. Anytime that Taco Bell is mentioned in the future, I’ll be sure to share what I’ve...
Read moreThis is probably the worst drive-thru experience I have ever had in my 47 years of life. We waited in line for a total of 38 minutes. We never got food. We were only met with hatefulness and rudeness. I have a family member in the hospital. I am incredibly busy with life right now. I did not have time to sit in line for 38 minutes much less to never receive food. I went inside after about 25 minutes of waiting and being trapped in drive thru. I went to ask and see if they could move people out of drive thru/park them so I could go to another location, only to be told no, too bad. When i went in the store, I found a lobby full of equally upset customers. Many of which had waited as long as I had, if not longer. There were five employees in my vision. Two employees were standing there doing nothing. One girl was training; however, it does not take a rocket scientist to make drinks, or a taco or something. There were two managers, and not one would speak to me or move the line, so I could exit. I was stuck with cars in front of me and cars behind me. I asked for the customer service number, which I was denied because they were busy. It's 1-800-TACOBELL.. so im pretty sure he (one of the managers) could have given it to me. I had no time and an empty stomach, and I needed to be at the hospital. I went and sat in my car in the blocked in drive thru and proceeded to wait some some more. The line had only moved up by one car when I got back. When we finally got to the window, we were told we had to wait again because the girl at the window now had to figure out how many people had driven off before she could start fixing our order. I told her to just cancel ours, too. It was not worth waiting for another who knows how long. I asked for the manager again and finally spoke with an irate Lisa, the second manager, and I finally got that 1-800 number. It was all around terrible service. It's killed Taco Bell for me. So many...
Read moreSaturday, October 21 5:45 AM I placed an order for this location through a third party (GrubHub). When the order finally arrived, we were missing several items from our order. I double checked the receipt, which was correct, then called the delivery driver. He confirmed the bag we received was all he got from this restaurant. I decided to call this restaurant instead of GrubHub since A.) I could see the restaurant received the right order on the receipt and B.) I am hungry, and I would've preferred driving to the store and picking up my missing items over simply receiving a refund and no food. The employee who answered the phone was very argumentative, telling me they would not do anything for me. When I explained I'd be fine with driving to them to pick up the missing items, employee cut me off and said "Here's my manager." The manager proceeded to repeat the employee, and then said they wouldn't make my missing items so that I couldn't lie about receiving them after all that work. In other words, this manager just called me dishonest over a few burritos. And I'm still hungry since I had to accept a refund instead of the food I ordered. And while I do understand it, other restaurants in the area, including Fazolis and Fuzzys Tacos are more customer oriented, and happily fixed the issues with the orders they prepared. So that tells me the manager on duty tonight is lazy, and does not want to deal with customer service. Will be calling the franchise owner tomorrow, and then will update my post appropriately.
Also wanted to point out the delivery driver, another long time Joplin resident, pointed out that this Taco Bell has terrible customer service, usually terrible food, and warned me to not expect anything good from them. It's a shame when such a pessimistic opinion turns...
