Taqueria Tepito #3 — Restaurant in Joshua

NOT white American friendly at all. There was definitely difficulty between the staff and my self understanding their limited English and my zero Spanish. My daughter,my wife, and mom ordered a chicken quesadilla, I ordered a beef burrito and got one of the glass bottles of soda and almost passed out in shock when the cashier told me it was $48.89!!!!! No wonder this place is on the verge of going out of business, no one I know can afford $50 for 3 quesadillas and a burrito! Absolutely outrageous even if the food was amazing, but the chicken was so spicy my wife or daughter couldn't eat their food even after specifically asking if the chicken was spicy and being told no. We made the drive from Crowley to this restaurant because the reviews were good! To our surprise, the lady taking our order didn't know english, prices were nowhere to be found on the menu wall or paper menu. We had to ask a stranger to help us translate. In which it didn't help because the lady still didn't understand. The price for a torta was 20 dollars. That's not including fries and drink if we wanted one. Employees very friendly, but it took forever to get our order. The serve yourself chips were good but the 2 salsa choices were EXTREMELY HOT. The presentation looked nice but Food had no flavor. The fajita plate was chopped up meat, not like any fajita I've ever seen...was hamburger meat consistency.
