Been local to the Jupiter area for over 10 years now and Bagel Boyz has always been a massive staple to our community!
It's been amazing to watch them significantly grow over the years and it's really not surprising as to why more and more people come every time I stop by.
Every time a hurricane/bad storm caused places to close down/everyone to lose power? Bagel Boyz was there making sure people were fed one of the ONLY places willing to open their doors. The very beginning of covid? Bagel Boyz was there for their community adapting their guidelines making sure families were safe and could still get food. The love they continue to show for our area is unmatched by any local restaurant.
Their menu has evolved over the years, and the quality is still top tier! They serve the best cold brew coffee I've ever had in my life (it comes with a price but one that is well worth it). Plenty of amazing breakfast sandwiches to choose from and a lunch that is one of the biggest hidden gems (try their philly cheesesteak or hot pastrami wow!)
Have I ever gotten something messed up here before? Yes. Have I've waited a long time in line before ordering/getting my food? Yes. It's a very high volume restaurant with everything cooked to order. This isn't a fast food chain, which I believe many people have come to think based on their recent reviews.
And even with the bad visits I've had, the staff there make sure they go above and beyond to fix any mistakes/compensate you for the inconvenience. They are human and the volume they handle is absolutely crazy so kudos to them for doing as well as they do under the mass amount of pressure. They also are great to talk to and they do recognize alot of their customers on a daily basis and conversate with them (much better than someone screaming next! or calling you a number.)
That's my take on the Bagel Boyz here in Jupiter! If you enjoy fresh food, a friendly staff, and supporting local businesses this is the place to go! On the weekends be prepared to wait or order ahead of time on their app, website or phone and you'll save yourself alot of time if you're in a rush. Thanks for always taking care of the people who keep your doors open! With some recent hate it seems there's plenty of people who still know the core values...
Read moreI'm a recent transplant to the Palm Beaches, most recently from Philadelphia. I've gotta say that, as a kid who grew up on the Jersey Shore, I'm a big fan of my new home here, and the number of other transplants means that my old regional food favorites are still available to me here in South Florida.
As someone who has lived in New Jersey, NYC and Montréal, QC (all hotspots in bagel history), I had high expectations for Bagel Boyz especially because of all the good things I have heard. Sadly, I've eaten here a number of times and have nothing but mixed feelings.
The bagels here are chewy, but lack that outside crispness to which I am accustomed. Oh, and the bagels are entirely too sweet for my palate... No matter what the variety.
For example, I've had the O'Brien bagel sandwich - corned beef, hash browns, eggs Swiss and Russian dressing. It was actually pretty tasty but the pumpernickel bagel I chose was way too cloying to go with the rest of the savory meal.
More disappointing was The Jersey - double pork roll, eggs and cheese. The pork roll was cut way too thin for its tangy flavor to come through, and the eggs were fried hard and to within an inch of their lives. And once again, the plain bagel was way too sweet for me.
My only real success there was their pastrami on a plain bagel with mustard. The strong, savory smoked meat went well with the plain bagel and was piled to delicatessen-worthy heights.
Oh, Bagel Boyz, you leave me feeling so torn! I want to love you but I just can't...
