Visiting the area and wanted some Italian food. We did not want "pizzeria" entrees but more curated dishes. Carmine's did not disappoint. We were immediately seated; it is July and of season so that was no surprise. The booth was comfortable, lighting was subdued. Our server, Angel, was attentive and personable. We will ask for him when we return. He took our drink orders and returned quickly with fresh, crusty bread accompanied by a pesto dipping oil. Delicious. We ordered the meatball and ricotta appetizer. This was the only portion of the meal that was slightly disappointing - a little too much bread in the meatballs and the ricotta was very cold so did not blend well with the warm meatballs. The sauce was very good. My husband has the Pappardelle Short Rib. The sauce was succulent and the mushrooms were just the right addition. I had one of the specials - Pear Finocchi. Simply fabulous. Pear stuffed in pinched ravioli in an Alfredo sauce with sun dried tomatoes. I was the one truly stuffed after that meal. One of the best I have ever had! We live about 30 minutes away but the drive will be worth it to dine at Carmine's again.

We had dinner Sunday night at Carmines on Military trail in Jupiter Florida and sat at the bar with Zack the bartenders, nice guy.  He was very helpful in telling us what was good in the menu. The bar sits about 18 people so it was easy to get a seats. We both were in the pasta mood, Elizabeth had the Penna Sacillia with red roasted peppers with sliced sausage in a red sauce, I dove into the spaghetti carbonara, tossed with peas, bacon, egg yoke and creamy parmigiana, one of my favorites and they do it the best at Carmines. Zack pointed out that the half orders would be plenty for each of us, boy was he right about that! Both dishes were great and neither of us could finish our portions. The dishes came out quick, nice and hot and perfectly cooked. Zack spent time chatting with us while at the other end of the bar his friends craved attention but it was all in good fun. Since we were going to be traveling the next day (stay tuned), we opted to pass on the leftovers. Next time;  We will be back and try some of the other Italian dishes and can’t wait for that.

Overpriced, pappardelle bolognese had barely any sauce or meat. Charging $16 for skimpy Mozzarella appetizer, misleading online prices, antipasto salad had barely meats and cheese on it. Response from corporate included Will never eat or order there again… Look at the pizza! $31.03 - you guys have lost your mind! Maybe a trip to Italy would be very beneficial on how much to charge for dough and some toppings! You should be ashamed! And most of the toppings are missing - as per your description: Prosciutto, cherry tomato, Reggia, balsamic reduction, evoo- where is the balsamic reduction and where are the cherry tomatoes? Do I get a refund of the missing items?

4/14/25- 5 Star service from Donna! If I could give 10 Stars I would! We were a group of 7 for our Annual Birthday Celebration.. Set up in the back room which was perfect! On a Monday night we had the room to ourselves.. Then came our server Extraordinaire! Donna! She is amazing! Where do I start?…I guess from the beginning.

The hostess was not even at her desk when we arrived. We waited until she showed up with a mini dress a little too short.

We get to the table and the hostess placed the menus so that we had to seat in front of each other, basically she chose for us how to seat without saying a word.

Then comes the waiter, they guy had always a big smile; however, did not know the menu. Every question we asked he had to leave us and come back. He seemed a bit deaf, I say that because we had to keep repeating ourselves over and over again.

I ordered the “Insalata Mediterranean” and I cannot not regret it more. The menu described it as arugula, radicchio, fennel (which I asked to not add), dried apricots, pears, candied walnuts, Gorgonzola cheese. All salads had the option to add some type of protein. I requested grilled chicken. The pears were soaked in red wine (not described in the menu) and they tasted horrible because of the wine and because they were hard as wood. The chicken was absolutely bland, no flavor whatsoever. The dressing according to the menu was “citrus dressing”, it was definitely sour, not a drop of olive oil or anything to smooth it out.

It was dinner time and I had barely eaten anything in the whole day, and that is the only reason I managed to eat the salad and half of the bland chicken, while I left out all the disgusting pears. The saddest part is that the main reason I ordered the dishes was because it had pears but most definitely not what I had envisioned.

After eating, I decided to go to the bathroom. The inside of the toilet is all stained with black marks. The trash can a huge stainless steel bin had a broken pedal, therefore it does not open with the push of the foot. I had to take a paper towel and open the lid with my hand. The wall tiles are obviously the kind that you see in a fast food restaurant and they have been painted in grey in an attempt to disguise how old they are. However, in the area where the wall tile meets the sink you can see the scratched paint and it makes it obvious that there is no upkeep of the facilities.

The atmosphere wants to be pretentious at glance but even the hanging lamps over the table are scratched and old.

I would have overlooked all of the flaws regarding the property upkeep if the food had been good but that salad was beaten up even by the salad of a place as ordinarily as Ford’s Garage, where the literally the door handles are gas station nozzles.

I hope the owner reads this and has a serious talk with his chef and cooks, the waiter that knows nothing and the hostess and her dress that barely covers her, she might as well go in hot pants, it will make...

I worked hospitality for 15 years in the 70's and 80'. Hotel dining rooms and room service. I also had a catering company and farm to table restaurant in the 80's in Princeton, NJ. I love making people feel special. I enjoy feeding them good food that is wonderfully presented. Carmine's did almost all of this. It's a lovely restaurant. Wonderful menu. Attentive staff. Tasty food. So why not give them a 5 star review? I decided to have a salad from the mozzarella bar. I chose the Burrata. Here is how it is described. Burrata $19.40 Creamy Mozzarella, Served with Gold and Red Beets, Pear, Prosciutto and Arugula. Served with House Made Foccacia.

It was a nice presentation. But it was small. The mozzarella was the size of a golf ball, if that. There was maybe a tablespoon of beets, a teaspoon of pear. 2 small triangles of focaccia. I honestly didn't see any prosciutto and the arugula barely covered the bottom of the plate. To be fair it was very tasty. But for roughly 20 bucks I should feel as if I've eaten something. Up the price if you have to, but my biggest pet peeve is dining out and leaving hungry. Even our daughter in law offered us some of her dinner. We declined. (My partner had the same dish as I did). We did have a laugh as the 2 grandkids each ordered a kids cheese pizza which had lots more food to eat...
