My wife and I were recently at this establishment, As we have been to this establishment many times in the past. This time was by far the worst visit we have ever experienced. She purchased the rib tips and they came out burnt. (refer to Julia Buttleman's review). They claim she had eaten more than 75% of the meal. Not only was the food bad but they are misleading and lying. She (my wife) had removed the meat from the bone, and there was very little that was edible...it was still on the plate. The waitress went to talk to the manager (which never came out to the table). The waitress relayed to us that the manager would not allow for my wife to order something different. My wife also pointed to the corner of the plate to the waitress, to show her all the meat that was deboned from the tips and right there on the plate. The manager would have known this if she had come to the table. Outlaws' waitress, "the we" in their rebuttal, was the only person to come to the table, therefore the one who had told the manager that 75 percent of the meal was eaten. The waitress is new to oulaw. It is sad that Casey did not come out to the table. She would have seen the remains of the tips and would have 100 percent agreed that the meat was still on the plate. Why would you trust your business reputation to your waitress? Business 101...don't trust your reputation to your staff. Bottom line....this is a teaching moment. Had management handled the issue personally, instead of sending "we ... the new waitress " none of this discussion would be out here on google reviews because the management would have agreed and then provided the new waitress with their own teaching moment. So goes life and a few regular...not...
Read moreWe have been coming to this location for a few years now. Our son has some severe food allergies and dietary restrictions, so we order specific items in specific ways each and every time we visit this location and never had an issue up until now. As we were checking out, D came from behind the counter as he noticed we had our own bun in a plastic bag (which we have done forever). He mentioned that bringing outside food and drinks is strictly prohibited because of some health codes, which we totally understand, in the past we have always been discrete, just this time we had it out in our hands. Not too get too involved here with our son's dietary restrictions, there are certain laws written by the ADA that can supersede local and state law (which is not the purpose of this review, just additional context). We would have been happy to have a side bar conversation about this, but the staff decided to make this a public show and discuss the healthcode in the open without very little understanding of our son's condition. The food was great, as it always has been, but in the future, not every customer is going to come in with the same requests, and training would have allowed our situation to not become a public discussion and could have been handled as a side bar conversation and understanding. Perhaps we could have learned of additional information to where we might have been able to use all of the ingredients on the menu, but we never did get to that point and it doesn't look like...
Read moreHad to pick up something in Justin and was told about this place from someone I only knee through FB. Figured, well since I'll already be in town, why not. The wife and I love trying new places. 1st, we were greeted politely and were asked if we had any questions about the menu. We placed our order and the price was better than I had expected. Picked our seats and talked a bit while looking around. Place has a cozy feel to it. Food arrived quicker than most places, and that's where it just gets better. The smell when we walked in was great. But when the food hits your table and you're up close to something you decided sounded good, the smells are amazing. I like simple foods because I'm old school. Wife however, is a chef and loves to explore new foods and looks for "depth of flavor" whatever that means. I just know that it tasted great and the wife and kid were extremely pleased as well. Then..... wife brought up the board by the door that I had missed. There were different options for cobblers. After a couple of games of rock, paper, scissors we decided on the pecan cobbler. I can't even begin to describe how good we both thought it was. I'd give more stars for it alone but my 3 year old stole some of my cobbler so I'm out of stars. I now know where a great spot is to drop in for a bite whenever we're back in that area and can't wait to try some of the...
