Took my grandkids for blizzards at 712pm Saturday evening 3/22/25. I went to the drive thru and was waiting behind a mid size van for approximately 8min. So I decided to just go inside, but THE DOORS WERE LOCKED. I got back in the drive thru line proceeded with my order. I Specifically asked the guy for lids for the blizzards and a young kid with braces proceeded to hand me the blizzard without lids. When I asked again for lids, she acted like I was speaking a different language. No I'm not going to drive and eat my ice-cream nor are the kids allowed to eat inside the car, so yes I requested lids ONLY to be given a nasty look as if I was wasting her time. Mind you the blizzards looked very wet/soft once handed to me. Had to immediately be put in the freezer and I live not even a 1/2 mile away.
I usually provide a tip nowadays when picking up any food/dessert for the convenience. In this case I did not and just decided to Never visit the location again. Customer service has gone downhill and I hate to say it but it's my own people that has begun to let me down. If you hate your job.......leave! You're only making the businesss look bad. Read moreFrom what I gather, this location is under new management, and they are sincerely dedicated to turning the store's reputation around. Not only that, but THEY want to give everyone a great experience, which seems exceedingly hard to come by in a service industry where most employees are younger and not neccesarily ready and willing to go above and beyond. I needed a plain old ice cream cake, wasn't looking for anything special. I just wasn't expecting much, you go to "fast food" places and you're just a number. The manager encouraged me to make the cake more personal and even provided some really good suggestions for what I could do, things I hadn't even considered, not to upcharge me (because it DIDN'T cost extra), but just because he recognized an opportunity to make someone's day a little better and easier. They even whipped up a new cake for me in a few minutes so I could have exactly what we had come up with. I can't sing their praises enough - I've been to five star bougie restaurants and not had this level of personalized service. They were friendly and fast, and went well above and beyond. Read moreMy husband and I were very disappointed in our first visit to this DQ. It is also our last visit to this DQ. Both of our blizzards took a very long time to make and they were not satisfactory. The ice cream was so melted and the employee didn't even flip them upside down. Good thing she didn't because the ice cream would have gone everywhere. My blizzard had cool whip which had a gritty texture to it. I ended up scraping it all off. I'm assuming the employe didn't clean the blizzard mixer off between my husband's Oreo brownie blizzard and my pumpkin pie blizzard because I noticed mine had black pieces of Oreo in it. Besides the pumpkin pie blizzard not having any chocolate in it, the chocolate pieces added a weird texture and did not taste good. We also looked at DQ cakes in the freezer and most, if not all, had frost bite on them. I also won't be purchasing a DQ cake from this location. I don't recommend this DQ to anyone.
