This location is disrespectful towards their customers, and currently has an illegal policy where they require someone who ordered their food to show them their personal electronic device.

The employees who work here do their best, they have a good manager, however either the owner or employees have taken it upon themselves to demand they see a customers phone, otherwise they won't give them their order.

Under Michigan Law, a restaurant must contact the police, who must obtain a Search warrant, for you to be required to show your phone strictly to police.

In all other exchanges, the consent of the individuals are required to request access to someone's phone. What your employees have been caught doing are issuing DEMANDS to see the customers phone.

These restaurants are not asking for consent to see anyones phone or tablet. They are demanding you do as a requirement, otherwise they will not give you the food you ordered.

Last time I was told I had to show them my device, I said no I don't, I demand a refund if you will not give me the food I paid for. Then the uneducated employee changed their tone, and gave me my food. You are not in charge of jack, you are working for the customer, and you are failing at respecting peoples rights to privacy guaranteed under Michigan Law, and the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution.

Other people stealing food from your restaurant does not legally justify demanding anyone see a customers phone before giving them the order they paid for. That Is Illegal, and the employees at this restaurant and many accross the State of Michigan are about to recieve a class action lawsuit if they keep asking to see people personal devices, while extorting the customer for the food they paid for in order to "confirm" they ordered it.

Your restaurant needs to educate your employees. Don't try it with me, again. I frequently am at your restaurant, and I had soda thrown at my car when another employee was fighting with a customer, and through the soda everywhere outside.

Do not ask for another person to show you their device otherwise I will be organizing efforts to sue Lee's Famous Recipe, and you will lose your job as a result. Try me, your company is engaged in illegal activity, and does not have the right to demand customers or delivery drivers for that matter to show you their personal device, in the state of Michigan.

I am a dasher for doordash and I came here to pick up an order. When I got to the store I asked for the order like usual and they told me they already gave the order away. When I asked them if they could remake it because I still had to deliver it to the customer they told me to just "call doordash". The staff were incredibly unhelpful even though it's a mistake on their part for giving away the order to the wrong person. They were rude and just told me I could go since they didn't have the order. I was the one who had to inform the customer that the staff did not even care or consider to remake the order so they would not be getting their dinner. This is the most absurd experience I have had taking a delivery from any restaurant. They do not care at all about their customers nor care about anyone beside themselves. Terrible service. We visited Lee’s last night 12/14/2020 and purchased an 8 pc mixed meal and bought a few extra sides a well. Firstly our order was totally screwed up, they gave us 3 wings 3 thighs and the rest of the chicken was chicken strips and they also forgot more than half of our sides so naturally we gave them a call to let them know they had completely screwed up a simple 8 pc bucket meal and were met with total disrespect and rudeness. My wife called and immediately they stated that they were closed, so my wife tried to explain that they had messed up and we were just looking to get the sides we were missing and maybe some actual bone in chicken like we paid for, the staff was completely unprofessional and were arguing and getting loud with my wife and actually hung up on her.
