Nagle's Top Dog & Malt Shoppe — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

Great food, friendly people (staff who just get busy and tired and customers. just say hi.), quality used books. Fireplace!! Great breakfasts, hotdogs. I like to sit and have coffee or a malt far more than "soul food" never even noticed any (was reading inside when Google found me). Just a mixed race area. less money doesn't make for dangerous at all. I hobble here. (Early retired ultralocal) bring your college student (close to neighborhood with most of houses Western Michigan University students cluster... when you're in town for an old-school chocolate malt...somewhere they might not know that they can afford. Been here a few times Over the years not bad food. People that claim the foods over cooked or undercooked or that it’s horrible not once have I had a issue here. Burger King and McDonald’s can’t compare honestly or Wendy’s. Cheap real food vs a burger from a chain they may be almost plastic and not mold.

I’m a local guide you can trust. Most people I run in to with a negative review have never really been to that location or just posting comments cause some one they know says that place is horriable.

So on a critic rating of food.

The breakfast sandwich was lit. It was better then the steak bagel at McDonald’s that isn’t on the menu anymore. I definitely would love to review more items on YouTube. I am a chef and pick where I eat and being on the go if near by here is one I would choose.

The store front is a lil out of date But the service for a local 2 star is great we where in and out in less time then McDonald’s.

I went into this place a couple of weeks ago. First red flag that I ignored was the terrible stench coming from the garbage dumpster. The 2nd red flag which I also ignored, it was hotter inside than outside and it was over 90 degrees that day. Got my burger & fries and left. Fries were not done, they were very pale. The burger, I am not sure if it was ok or if it was all in my head cos I couldn't get the garbage stench out of my nose. Took 2 or 3 bites of the burger then threw the entire meal in the garbage. Total waste of about 8 dollars. Staff was very friendly though. I will never go back. Should have gone to Wendys and got a double burger with fries & a frosty for about the same amount of money and it would have landed in my stomach rather than...
