The bad: I have followed this store around from location to location to location, even as they got farther from my house. I gave up shopping here a couple years ago and started ordering my yarn online. The reason behind the change was because the former owner, Mary, and her staff were very rude. There was one lady in particular, Diane, that acted like she ran this store and she was not friendly at all. There would be a group of the staff that had their own little click and would sit in the front and knit while you shopped. Heaven forbid, you should interrupt their knitting to ask the staff a question...BUT now for the good:

Mary sold the store about a year ago. Along with her went the rude staff. Bye bye to them and hello to the great, helpful, friendly replacements. What a refreshing change! The new ownership seems very eager to change the the old mindset and was greeting everyone cheerily as they came in to shop. If you used to shop here before but stopped, give it another chance. I am glad I did because the quality of their yarn is exceptional and you don’t have to wait to order off the internet. This way you can see, feel, and compare the different yarns which is something you can’t do when you buy off the internet. I am disappointed with the service I have received from Ann (who I believe is the owner). I dropped off a finished Christmas stocking and a partially done Christmas stocking in January 2023. I wanted Ann to finish the partially done stocking, I left the finished stocking with her as a guide to what I expected. I called her a month later to check on the progress she stated to give her a couple more weeks she’ll call you when it’s done. Fast forward it’s the end of November no stocking. I spoke with Ann two days ago and she’s states she ran out of yarn and by the way it’s much larger than the other one and I forgot about it, give me another week. At this point all I want are my stockings back. So I go pick them up today still an unfinished stocking (which is my choice not to give Ann another week). I felt Ann was rude and dismissive and didn’t even apologize for any of this.

This store is wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a wide selection of yarn, books and other supplies. The best thing about this store is the classes offered. Classes are reasonably priced and there is one for people of every skill level. The class instructors are able to help advanced students with challenging projects as well as guide beginners who are just learning. The "drop-in" classes are perfect for people like me who have busy schedules. I will shop and take classes at this store again...
