Copper Mountain Coffee — Restaurant in Kalispell

The customer service is always top notch with engaging baristas. But the flavored coffee drinks are some fresh, hot diabetes in a cup. Absolute sugar bombs. Which is great for people who like that! But it makes me sick, my mouth and teeth covered in build-up. This issue has made me skittish about other coffee places, grilling baristas about their arbitrary opinions on the sweetness of their drinks, whether I should request cutting down on the syrup. I’ve occasionally gotten unpleasantly bitter drinks as a result. The fact is, I’ve never had problems with the sugar/syrup level of caramel macchiatos or mochas elsewhere (except if it helps, I also don’t like specialties at Caribou Coffee, a chain not local to Kalispell, where mochas are like molten chocolate bars with a dash of espresso). The strawberry smoothie was great but y'all charged $4.50 to add matcha to it.... Like damn! Really? At least y'all could've warned a bish before charging $14 for a smoothie.

Edit: CMC was very quick to respond by email. They informed me why the upcharge was the way it was and it all made sense. Changing to a 4 star because my only issue at this point was not being informed of the steep upcharge beforehand. Not everyone in a hurry is going to notice the addon price on the board. Once again. Copper Mountain Coffee is an absolute gem! I stopped by for a quick drink and ended up having an amazing experience from start to finish. The Moonshine drink was incredibly delicious—unique, smooth, and perfectly balanced.

The coffees here are top-notch, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. On top of that, the service was outstanding—genuinely friendly and welcoming. You can tell the staff love what they do, and it really makes a difference.

This place is a must-visit if you’re in the area. I’ll definitely be back...
