403 Club — Restaurant in Kansas City

403 is my home away from home. What could I possibly say about this place? This wonderful place I’ve been maybe a thousand times in the last 10+ years.

The patrons are my friends; the bartender my therapist. Every time I come home from a work trip I head straight to the 403 Club for a quick PBR and a breath of fresh air before proceeding home.

403 hosts fun potlucks for the Chiefs games and it’s a great spot to catch a Royals game as well. Personally I love playing songs on the jukebox and hanging out on the back patio. I’m told they have a few pinball tables.

403 also hosts events for local organizations such as roller derby and Equality KC and participates in the Strawberry Hill Pub Crawl. It’s a wonderful place to meet people - nicest folks you’ll ever meet.

I’ve avoided reviewing my favorite little dive bar in all the world for years now, but the time has come to share some musings on the club. Thank you for being there for me through both the happiest and the hardest times of my life. I’ll stop...

Besides the random dude shouting across the bar calling me boring and winking at my date, it was great!! The bartender was awesome and very personable. I forget her name but she had blonde hair, around 10pm on August 22nd. It's refreshing to have a bartender make you feel right at home. The 15 or so pinball machines are awesome and really give the bar an identity. They have one of the top 3 all time pinball games in my opinion, Attack From Mars! Oh, and the 2 Dolla Natty Light Strawberry Lemonades ain't half...

Re-live the 70s-80s! A great place to have a cold beer and challenge your friends to see if you can get a free pinball game. The machines are in excellent working condition - much better than the old game rooms I haunted. There is a nice outdoor patio which would be perfect in cooler weather.
