Update: 10/21/2024 I wish I could give this location a zero (0) since they are batting less than 20% on pick up order accuracy. If you order for pickup, expect to not get your order right. If you order a vegetarian, they will likely cheat you out on the guac (a very common occurrence at this location). 5 thumbs down and feedback to Chipotle has made NO differnce in service quality. But if you go in person and have your food made, you can watch them closely to ensure they get the order right.
Update 08/20/2024
This location continues to be one of the worst Chipotle locations in the city if you are ordering pickup. 9 out of 10 times they have not gotten the order right. Staff on the pickup order line has an attitude and won't admit their mistake or try to correct it. Don't go here unless you are watching them make your order. If you place an order online, open each item to ensure it was made correctly. If you see my review from before, you will notice that this pattern is not new. And just can't get over the disrespectful attitude like they weren't the ones making the mistake. Tired of Chipotle online experience. Apparently Chipotle management doesn't care either since I have provided this feedback directly to them many times. I would fire the manager.
UPDATE: 12/27/23 - This location in particular can't seem to get called in orders right. Called in order for three bowls. Two were made correctly. One was nowhere close to what was ordered. They gave us someone else's bowl in place of what I orderd. One person disappointed (and another customer also who got our order). Online customer service is a joke. They should save money by disabling the robot. The two correct order bowls were made well - good portions and as ordered. Not the first time online order has been incorrect. Tried to resolve online and the robot offered a free drink (which wasn't the mistake) and ended the chat without me agreeing to the resolution.
The following is from 4 years ago. Leaving it here to show the place is headed downhill: Chipotle is a favorite place to visit for my kids. I usually visit Chipotle for lunch but this was a dinner visit. The place was clean, service was probably and courteous (as always). Utensils were stocked. It was a good experience meeting expectations. Till...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChipotle. Consistently great food. Fast food? I'm not sure I'd go that far. Inevitably, there's someone (or four) in front of you in line (because it's good food), and they're always the pickiest people you've ever seen. "A little more cheese. A little more cheese. A little more cheese. That's too much, take some off." If there's too much sour cream, you're really gonna be there awhile. That being said, the folks at the Chipotle at 75th and Wornall in Waldo (501 W. 75th St, Kansas City, MO, to be exact) are exceptional. I don't know how they tolerate the fuss, deal with the crazies and the yuppies alike, don't get backed up, and still manage to make awesome food...but they do. And they do it smiling. Even when I'm impatient and ready to slap the woman in front of me who insists that double carnitas is a pound and a half of meat, they take it all in stride and keep the line moving. When you walk in the restaurant and there's a line to the door, don't leave. You'll be through the line in no time, and through with your meal just as fast because it's delicious. This Chipotle is definitely the best I've ever been to. It's even cleaner than standard (which is really amazing, considering the location and the traffic), and the food is always top notch. The prices are great for the amount and quality of food being served, but that goes for any of the locations. This Chipotle is different. I can actually leave this Chipotle with my yummy food and my temper in tact. Even though I'm allergic to avocado, I've never had an issue here, or even been worried about it. The employees aren't messy, and there aren't schmears of guacamole all over the prep counter or utensils that will cross contaminate my food. Definitely the best Chipotle in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI moved to Waldo one month ago so this is my new chipotle and it's super mediocre. I've always gone to chipotle 2-3 times a week for the past few years. This place is slow and the food is hit/miss on freshness. I've done both online orders and regular line orders, multiple times. The staff act like they're all new(not knowing where my order is or not being able to check me out) and it always feels like they are understaffed. Last week I came in and the place was pretty dead but no one was behind the counter, i waited, three customers stack up behind me. 2 employees come from the back realizing there's a line, they make my burrito then have me wait at the cash register with my card in hand while they make the other 3 burritos for the people behind me in line!!? After all three strangers have their burritos made, one employee looks over, realizes the cash register line is getting long and starts taking my money. In the past month ive been here atleast 10 times, afternoon and evenings, everytime I walk in here i miss my old chipotle in Mission.
Edit: Changing my rating to 1 star, the last 3 times I've gone in to pick up my online order they hadn't even started preparing it. The gyro shop across the street might be a better alternative.
Edit 2: Added a photo. 7 months since my first review. It's hard to imagine but this chipotle has gotten even worse! Tonight, after getting an insanely small portion of rice and beans I knew I had to ask for double meat. The employee gives me the smallest portion of chicken and steak I've ever seen. I ask him how much is a serving of meat, he says 8oz.. I was so appalled when I got home I weighed it out. It turns out he shorted me 2...
