*NOTE: This location just cheated me; paid for 14 pieces of chicken, and received 10 pieces....
"COUNT YOUR ORDER, EVERY SINGLE TIME.... (Working, at a "drive thru" food franchise, must require more skill, than heretofore, imagined.... The complexity of numbers, seems beyond the universal grasp of Chicken joints, no matter the company, or the location...)
Grandview Church's Chicken, has been excellent...... Fast service, hot food, and straight-up advertising.... Just a "emerging nation" language issue----and, basic Mathematics....
Kentucky Fried Chicken wants 34.00, for 12 pieces, of their substandard fare... When I asked a civil question, as to the discrepancy, between the two businesses, for the same menu items, I was (very nastily) told to "Go to Church's Chicken..." Read my review, of the Independence Avenue, KFC.. !!!😆
The Church's Chicken franchise, in Prospect Avenue, dunned me for 23.00, for 12 pieces of legs, & thighs, due to their promotional banner, being hung, on the payment window side... The clerks refused to cancel my order, and allow me, to place a new order, with the promotional "10 pieces, for 12.99..."
Since I tallied my bank statement, for November, 2022, at 185.00 for meals, purchased from the Prospect franchise, I thought this managerial edit, was resoundingly foolish....
Why so much chicken, one might ask... In truth, my three gigantic dogs have a 17.00 a day (chicken) habit, that would shame a street drug addict.... Please spare me, the disapproval, concerning shattering poultry bones....
My Monsters could eat the tires, off of a tractor trailer.... Church's Chicken, from a pleasant franchise, allows me to close (both) eyes, when I sleep.....
Grandview, rocks .... Prospect is a tad duplicitous...
And, Independence Avenue's Kentucky Fried Chicken, seems to employee some mighty "touchy" folks, who must be jealous of Church's Chicken's superior menu, food preparation, and general marketing...
Read moreWhen a restaurant parking lot and drive-thru is empty, there is a reason. I was a bit spectacle but ordered $55 worth of food. I asked while placing the order for honey for the biscuits, and when the woman handed me the order, i asked to confirm that honey was in the bag (as she puts it in there), and she said Yes and nodded, Knowing that she did not put honey in the bag. It's Indian culture to milk and dime you to the bottom, but do not be in a black neighborhood , and play with people's food. That nickel and dime ing will have you losing customers. This is why a place that should be busy, is Not! There are too many places to spend $55 for a box of chicken. Then to the taste. How do you mess up seasoning on chicken? Well if the franchise tells you to add 1/2 cup of salt to a huge batch, and you being Cheap add 2tsp, the chicken taste like bland cardboard . If you do right by customers, you will have plenty. You try to cheap them out of what they paid for, they wont be back and neither will their friends. This is Kansas City, Mo, some cultural practices just don't work in the states, in a black neighborhood, where the customers remember. I will...

My bombers were under cooked & my biscuit was good
I believe cause I'm white ...their always rude to their white customers ( seen it over & over here ) Only reason I ever go back is cause it's a block away & KFC closes a hr earlier & I much prefer churches (when it's right ) No dipping sauce was given ,tho I asked
I usually don't complain anywhere I go cause I understand most places try hard But NOT this location on bluer idle Blvd "it does no good ,at this location " But I feel tonight was way worse than normal If I wanted better food than I just got tonight I should have waited for them to close & got it from their dumpster !!! I bet the quality would have been better than what I just paid money for & I would not have to deal with their attitudes. ..folks if you can avoid it...
