Our Class of '76 from Southwest High School celebrated our 60th birthdays this year at a party held at Patrick's. The venue was a little small for the many who showed up, and the staff of 2 bartenders were at times hard-pressed to keep up. But the staff was nice and the party was, by most accounts, a great success. I was a little disappointed as I had checked online before coming to see if the bar had food, and what I saw was yes, they did, but after being there for 4-1/2 hours, I never saw any evidence of food, except for the pizza that the party organizers brought in. This neighborhood bar has become a Waldo staple! The owner and bartenders are super friendly, sling drinks like no other and are so much fun! Stop in and check out this locally owned bar! You won't be disappointed! Patrick's also hosts a .1K the second Sunday of August at the bar, raising money for the Kansas City chapter for Hospice; 15 years and counting! It's a wonderful event raising money through donations, silent actions and tons of cool raffle ticket items! Your donation gets you a tank top or t-shirt and for the event.
