June 19th I went in to shop and purchased a queen mattress set. I have never purchased any large items as such from Sam's Club before so I asked the cashier, before I paid, if they would load and tie the mattresses. I was told that they would, so I paid for the set and went home to change vehicles. When I arrived at the store I went to customer service and showed my reciept, again I was told that they would load and tie down the mattresses. As soon as the guys loaded up the truck with the mattresses they say thank you and I ask if they were going to tie them down. I was told by them that they are not allowed to tie anything down for liability issues. They radioed a manager and told him the situation, they were told that they could not tie it and the manager said "What doesn't she know how to tie a knot?" I asked to speak with the manager after I heard him on the radio. The manager who said that did not come out, he sent another associate to ask who had told me that it would be tied down. I showed her the reciept to see what register I had paid, described the woman at C.S. I didn't get names from these associates because I didn't anticipte having a problem. I told her(Julia) that someone needed to tie it down because I couldn't and that was the reason I asked twice because I knew I wouldn't be able to. She then told me I had to wait for the associate who worked in tires and he had two cars in the shop before he could get to me, or I had to wait for a manager to come and tie it. The associate from tires came, tied them down and I was on my way. I knew that someone higher up needed to know I was treated as a customer by a manager who never had the courage to come out and deal with the situation. I made a few calls, and the store manager (Kieth) called me back leaving a message stating that he had a note on his desk to call me and that he would try again later. He never called back that day, so I called the next afternoon and was told that he was gone already. So I called again the following afternoon. I asked for him, was put on hold, then the lady gets back on the phone and asks if she could tell him what the call was regarding. I told her that "I had a message from him and he had said that he'd call back but didn't so I called him" again placed on hold. Then she came back on the line, asked my name and put back on hold. She then got on the line again and asked if I was calling about a job offer, I finally told her "no I'm calling about an issue I had in the store the other day and I need to talk to him about it" puts me on hold one more time, then gets back on the line and says he's gone for the day. As of today July 5th, I have yet to recieve a phone call from the store manager. It seems to me that they need to actually get some managers who know how to deal with customers instead of hiding behind the associates. I used to shop at Sam's in Lenexa but moved and now this location at Parallel Pkwy is closer to me. I see a big difference on how managers handle situations. I had previous issues in the bakery here at Parallel Pkwy picking up a cake that was made different from what I had ordered, and then told that I'd have to wait for the other order to be finished before they'd fix mine and I'd have to wait at least 30 minutes, again I had asked to speak to a manager who never went to talk with me, he just told her to offer me 50% off the cake and take it as is or wait and have it remade. I wanted my cake fixed and I wanted it sooner than 30 minutes, so I had to walk to the front of the store to find a manager myself and talk to him since one never went to the bakery. Pharmacy on the other hand is a completely different experience, they deseve a 5 star rating. They are always friendly and helpful. It's hard to believe that they are part of this store. This store needs corporate to come in as a customer with a problem and see the reality of how managers handle things! I have spent thousands of dollars at Sam's Club, I shop there at least 3x's a week, they should at least be able to address...
Read moreI am BEYOND upset with Sams Club at the Legends. I have come here for years for my business and personal needs and this was the first time ever to use their tire/lube service on a special for tires. When I went in 12/16/2018 at approximately 11:00 AM for my appointment to get my tires changed about 45 minutes or so into waiting in the store I get a call and told there is an issue with my lug nuts. I said ok well I will just head over and we can look it over and talk about it no big deal.
I get over there and one of the employees begins to tell me that the lugnuts on my car are swollen and unable to be put on or off at least on one of my lug nuts. I said that's odd I literally just had these rotated at the dealership not even a month ago and no issues were brought up and they tell me if I need something done even if there isn't anything wrong with it yet most of the time.
Then another employee butts in and says its a well known issue with these lugnuts that they swell which is true it is known that they swell, however, he said every single lugnut on every single tire now need replaced. I said show me what your talking about lets go over and take a look then he said they have already parked it in the lot. I was pretty upset by this point.
They told me one of the lugnuts were a bit messed up, that's all they said, I said alright whatever go ahead and give me a full refund ill just take care of this and go elsewhere no really big deal I was a bit weary of what he was trying to tell me.
When my wife and I went to our car you can see the pictures below that they DESTROYED 3 LUGNUTS. I immediately went back in and demanded an explanation its one thing if you try on one lugnut and it has an issue you stop, you went and did 3 of them and DESTROYED all of them. These lugnuts cost $10 each minimum. He then said it was like that, I then went to a store manager to discuss this, he said they would pay the replacement costs of my lugnuts AFTER I go to my mechanic get it written out and fixed and an itemized bill with documentation showing that in fact they weren't swollen.
I drove all the way from the far side of Leavenworth to get then now have to drive back on a sunday, wait another day get ahold of either my dealer or my personal mechanic and put this out of pocket and take care of it. They couldn't even tell me if my lugnuts were torqued properly when I left so 3 out of 5 lug nuts on my rear passenger wheel were potentially putting my family in direct danger due to the inability for a more timely and appropriate solution to this issue.
I went to My dealer the next day, had them inspect my car which is also now taking more time out of my day, they said these clowns used the wrong size socket, probably the wrong torque as well, shredded 3 of my 5 lugnuts on that time and then used what appeared to be a freggin flathead to knock a socket off one of my lugs. They were kind and didn't charge me any labor on this saving sams money. I have yet to get back till tomorrow to get my money for what I spent on my lugnuts. I have reached out to corporate twice as well now and have heard nothing.
It is one thing to make a mistake and own up to it, its a completely different deal to lie outright about it. I am looking at getting with the attorneys general office about this issue as well as some other avenues.
The ONLY reason they are getting a 2 star vs 1 is the service I have received in store over the years for everything else. I advise you to KEEP AWAY FROM THEIR TIRE AND LUBE AT ALL COSTS. I will gladly pay 100 or so more for my tires than deal with this lack of integrity and...

This puts you in a bad mood right off the bit. Beside the Limited options, every time I go there one item that I usually purchase is this continues( kombucha, organic milk, lamb chops, oh snap pickles ..) I'd really like to see the person who makes the decisions in this store and find out what is going on in their head!!. At the cash register you have these nice younger kids who get forced by their managers telling them " did you ask if the customer wants to upgrade? Ask your customer if they want to upgrade! Move over so I can show you how you can ask your freaking customer to upgrade! Sir would you like to upgrade? You get free this and free that? Its only $5#$^ to up grade and you get points which you can use them as a dosh!! Can I go a head and upgrade??đ¤Żđ¤Żđ¤Ż....And finaly as you think you are done with this concentration camp they do the last insult by literally going through every single item that you purchased and not caring the line extending to a mile from the exits because they don't simply care anymore as you already did your shopping know all the care is you havnt hide 16 rolls of toilet paper up your shirtđĄ. You don't see any of the above at Costco and I wished there was one nearby but for now I'm stuck with this truly disgusting...
