First time: in many, many years. Was able to get close Handicap parking spot. Walked up to woman, to scan my tickets, then she yells me to go the man behind her, ( mind you she just scanned 3 other groups of folks). And I am standing there: with my cane...you are going to make go else. (Extremely bad customer service)..... Left bad taste in my mouth, how I was treated. Then got in:TV channel 38 the Spot had booth thing going to spin the wheel to win a prize. Won some glass glasses. Then went to concession bar: had a gift card: ▪︎Ordered: beer, bottle soda, hot dog & slice of pizza ( i didnt know Supreme was 7.50 a slice) omg....but that is different store. It was over 20.00, I had 2 gift cards. Gave the first one, then I questioned, the clerk on my total: she had entered 5 items. And I had only ordered 4 items. She was nice, had to get a supervisor to fix it. Supervisor was nice: it was a mess trying to fix ( short verision) but no one offered me to go sit down, due to myself being handicap & the heat. (They were nice, but something should have been offered to me for my time). Because a higher up boss, had to come fix it. Was able to get to my seat, and enjoy the game, the Supreme pizza was good, but not for 7.50 a slice. ▪︎We had a young man with our group, and a player did give him a ball, and another woman in our group got one, so that was cool. Really liked the game, ( sound effects). It was nice to see the grounds crew, out taking care of the field. Everything is clean. I just think need some extra training for the concession stand folks, and some customer service training for the check-in ticket folks. I liked was able to see the speed of the balls the pitcher was throwing & we were sitting by 3rd base. And a player was hit by a ball ( batting) they were checking him out the 3rd base coach came little closer, to confirm he was ok. Because our whole section was concern able the player that got hit by ball. Truly appreciated that. ▪︎I really got a kick out of the 4 little boys, trying to pop balloons on each other (that was so funny), priceless. ♡ ▪︎And the 2 boys with heads on top of the baseball bat, walking around in circles with the head on top of the bad, then they had to (after 10 tims) they had to run over to tall stand and it the plastic ball off it. Was glad to see our home town...
Read moreDoing tourist things BBQ & Ballgames was on the list of to-do's .....Great place to catch a game! Not a bad seat in the house in my perspective. The food stations had a variety of menus and pricing wasn't expensive..
The beverage stands both adult and kid friendly had reasonable prices and I was pleasantly surprised.
The parking is super close to the main gate - I am in firm belief that the overall planning and logistics of this stadium are professionally done and handled well!
This stadium is a must visit if in the area and you like baseball. With the family friendly vibe. There is playground equipment out in right field with bag toss and other items to play and do while still in stadium!!!
My friends that live in KC and that weren't on their own vacation flexed their schedule and joined with family. We had a big family photo and all the kids played well together.
My daughter got a baseball during our outfield experience! 10/10 times I would return... I have yet to have a bad time at a minor league game
Thank you Kansas City for having...
Read moreAs a minor league ball park, it's actually very nice. The amenities are decent. The concessions are a little cheaper than a major league ball park, but not by much, and the seats are generally pretty comfortable. As far as it doubles as a soccer field, I'm pretty disappointed that KC's Only PROFESSIONAL Women's team has been relegated to a "hand me down" stadium... The accoustics aren't great because it's set up to project out to the outfield in a diamond, not project around in a rectangle. You could barely hear any chatter from the fans no matter where you sat, so I suspect the players couldn't hear much from us to help keep them fired up. I don't know the in's and out's of children's mercy stadium contract with Sporting, but I don't understand why KC can't share that stadium with Sporting. Until the women get the support they need to get better amenities, I'll continue to support them at...
