I am a former regular to this location after today’s experience.
I have been going to this particular location on my work route for a couple months at least. Usually it’s 5 days a week.
I ordered my Salted Caramel Cold Brew w. Light Ice per usual on my mobile app. Once I had left the store, I was surprised to find my cold brew tasted like watered down espresso. Sometimes batches get diluted, so it’s understandable.
Unable to drink my $6 beverage, I had to power through my day without caffeine.
Later, I returned to the store in hopes of making a switch out for my previous inconvenience.
I politely approached the bar, and kindly explained the situation to the person (I am presuming it was the shift supervisor based on how they presented themselves).
Not only was I met with an eye roll, I was fortunate enough to get a snarky attitude from this person as well.
The cup was quickly snatched from my hand, and she then proceeded to ask what I wanted instead.
I specified a Pink Drink w. Light Ice as I did not want to risk the cold brew being diluted again.
My request was accommodated, which is to be expected when a customer has received defective product.
After receiving my drink, I went to thank the person for making it for me. Unfortunately, I was only met with a cold shoulder, pursed lips, and some eye rolling. They then proceeded to talk quietly to the other baristas while side eyeing my direction.
In no way was I rude, unapproachable, or disrespectful. And yet, all I was met with was some stank attitude and less than desirable coffee.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue with my drink at this store, it was simply the first time it was THAT bad.
I would also like to mention the drink they made for me the second time was filled with ice. Rather than argue, I simply wanted to leave, as I was not comfortable approaching the employees any further. I was flustered to the point that I was unable to grab the person’s name. She’s younger, tall, blonde, and was working at 5pm on 1/17.
As a former Shift Supervisor for this company, it’s unfortunate to see how lackluster management and employee morale is nowadays.
If these are the entry level employees, I can only imagine the actual...
Read moreHonestly I hate to write this review because this was one of my favorite locations to go to but after being laughed at twice by the barista Ayla, I thought I’d share my experience.
I order the same drink at least twice a week and the only thing special about my drink is that I ask for the drink to be stirred because I get honey. If the drink isn’t stirred, the honey will just sit at the bottom.
After mentioning that twice because I know the staff is busy making drinks and the stirring part can be forgotten, I see the big clump of honey at the bottom because my drink didn’t get stirred. No biggie. I’ll just go in and explain the situation and get my drink remade. I greeted them and explained the situation, the barista said that she’d remake it.
As she’s making my drink and stirring the honey and espresso, I look over and Ayla is having a good laugh watching her. Not sure what was funny, but Ayla thought it was hilarious. I’m uncomfortable, I thank the barista for remaking my drink, she says nothing. I get out to my car and taste the drink, something is off. Maybe it’s just me. But for $8 and getting laughed at for wanting my drink to be stirred, I decided to go back around, get a refund and go to another store.
As I pull up to the window, miss Ayla sees me and begins yelling to what I assume to the manager “THAT LADY’S BACK, SHES BACK! SHE DOESN’T LIKE THE DRINK!” While laughing. When Ayla opened the window, I said “You know that I can hear you yelling and laughing at me right?” She said: “ I know” with a smirk.
I told Ayla that her attitude towards me was unnecessary and with the experience I had, I just needed a refund. She proceeded with the refund, told me it would be 5 to 7 business days, I said thank you and she shut the window in my face. 😂
This location as a whole is great. I’ve never had a bad experience until today. I ended up going to Revocup in Leawood KS. They were absolutely amazing, friendly and had no issue stirring my drink.
Lesson of the day, spend your money locally, they will appreciate it more.
Ayla, I hope you have the day that...
Read moreI am actually taking the time to write a review in hopes it will help prevent someone else from this 1st world problem. I was the only car in line this morning and ordered two lattes. Unknowingly I was handed 1 latte (at least they got 1 drink correct) and 1 Dark Roast coffee that had previously been made about 10 mins before I came through. The cup apparently had become soggy and 20 minutes into my commute I went to grab what should have been a Skinny Peppermint Latte when the cup folded at the seam and busted open, which also made the top fly off and the nasty, Dark Roast coffee went everywhere. Obviously this felt wonderful all over my hand and body while driving down the road. I called and spoke to an employee about the situation and explained that I wouldn't be able to come back in to get a replacement but I wanted to be compensated for the difference between a Venti Latte and a Venti Coffee. She told me I would have to come back in today, if I wanted compensation. She didn't offer alternate ways to make the situation right and had a lack luster attitude when I told her they needed to make sure their cups weren't defective so no one else would be burned. I did get a "I'm sorry" but that was the extent of it, and she said that she would "write a note" to let others know. Lesson learned. Make sure you check the solidity of your cups and check your order before you even leave. I wish I would have read some of the reviews prior to going. It's always a risk you take I suppose, but not a fun lesson to learn at 6 am when you're half awake, and driving down the highway. Once again, a 1st world problem but my hand is currently bright red from being burned and I'm annoyed with the lack of concern from this particular...
