This place and the owners are great. Donuts always taste fresh and are so much better than Dunkin Donuts. Owners are always very gracious and friendly. EDIT: During Thanksgiving break, I sent my boys to get $19 dollars worth of kolaches and donuts, as we had done earlier that week. I took one bite into my favorite donut from them and noticed it had a very strong chemical taste. I took one more bite, same horrid taste. I turned to my husband and told him that my donut had a chemical taste to it and he said he was just thinking the same thing about his. I told him I wanted to return the items, as something was very wrong. My husband went back and immediately smelled a horrible, offensive smell in the establishment. Apparently, the chemical smell was coming through the ventilation system on work that was being done on another unit. My husband politely spoke to the female owner and let her know about the donuts. She wanted him to wait a half hour, as she said every half hour a new batch of items come out. He stated he would rather have his money back as the smell was overpowering. Immediately, her attitude changed. She ripped open a bag, tore a donut in half, chewed it and said, "See, no problem with the donuts. No one else has complained but you and we have had many people." She did refund the money, but was incredibly rude. Being a frequent customer, who comes in regularly, it was a huge disappointment to be treated the way we were. Although it was not her fault that the construction/spray paint smell was in her shop, her reaction to a loyal customer who posted a rave review about her before was a major disappointment. Unfortunately, we will not be back for a while. EDIT 2: Owners response below illustrates how belligerent and rude she became to a loyal customer who not only wrote a wonderful review, but came in weekly, if not several times in a week. We will NEVER step foot in this...
Read moreMy family and I loved this place, but unfortunately we won’t be returning. The owner does not value her customers. They doubled charged my teenage daughter’s card when she purchased from them. The total should have been $11.36 but was charged $22.72 for donuts. My two daughters went up to the shop to get a refund but was told to give it a couple of days the bank will reverse it. So after a couple of days I went up there with my daughter since the bank did not refund as they said. We met with the owner and showed her the back to back transactions on my daughter’s bank statement. In one breath the owner acknowledged that she had made the mistake on that day because of the “WiFi issue” her machine had, then in a second breath she said it was the banks fault. So I requested to see the double charge from her records. Her and her employee went through both credit card machines they have for what seemed like for an hour. They showed us everyone else’s charges but ours, but kept saying they only charged us once. She goes on to say my daughter is loyal customer but should contact bank for refund. It’s sad that this owner lacks integrity and customer service skills! She became combative and stubborn. My God, it’s $11.36 just do the refund because you made the mistake. My daughter goes there several times out the week, you would have made the small amount back. It’s the principle of the matter, to just do the right thing. So to the owner, here’s a tip for you, remember this quote/statement — “THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!”, that is basic 101 Customer Service knowledge. And to the customers of this establishment USE CASH, because if there is an error with that card machine they will not refund you. Unfortunately, my daughter felt very gaslighted by the comments of the owner and not valued by her, so for me & my family we will not give this establishment...
Read moreThis place is very welcoming but unfortunately they are not what they were when they first began . They use to have the best kolaches and the best chocolate donut holes . Today after a few years I have to say goodbye . They have removed half the good stuff they use to have and what they were know for . I was told today that they no longer make the chocolate donut holes because “ it’s too much work “ everything else in there is just your pretty average breakfast nothing out of the ordinary. If you don’t mind basic breakfast this is the spot. There’s no longer nothing that differs them from other donut places around . They took away what made this donut...
