I love a good burger as much as the next person and I love when I can find a place that offers more than just the usual burger choices. An establishment that offers the variety I like is Old School Burger in Katy, Texas.
Looking at the menu, this establishment offers about twelve different burger choices. If you like the traditional burger, then go for the District Burger. It is topped with the more standard toppings, like lettuce, mayo, ketchup, tomatoes, mustard, and American cheese. If you want a more adventurous choice, you might want to consider the Fire and Cheese Burger, which is topped with grilled tomatoes, lettuce, queso fresco, crispy tortillas, and jalepeno ranch. If you like an egg on your burger, then ask for the Bunrise Burger. And if you are trying to cut carbs, any one of the burgers can be ordered as a bowl, which is an excellent option to have.
Burgers rule at Old School Burger, but if you’re not wanting an all- beef patty, there are other choices on the menu, like tacos, pupusas, and several breakfast foods, like breakfast tacos and egg plates. I haven’t tried any of these choices because to me, Old School Burger is all about burgers. The burgers taste fresh and good, and it’s fun to try different ones and savor the different toppings and how they blend with the beef.
One thing to keep in mind with Old School Burger is that the sandwiches do not come with any sides. You have to order the sides separately. I usually get onion rings, but the parmesan fries and tator tots are good options, too. They also serve a nice variety of shakes.
Old School Burger is not the type of place that catches your eye. I discovered it when I was getting my car repaired next door and, feeling hungry, walked to the adjacent strip mall and noticed it immediately. I’m glad I found this establishment because it does serve some good burgers. There is no beer or other adult beverages and the atmosphere is rather plain. But they know how to make a burger and that is reason enough to give this...
Read moreGood burger but for the price you pay insane when you dont know that fries arent included with your burger. Our waitress asked if we wanted regular fries with our burger not even asking if it comes with the burger because most places it does. Especially when the burger price is already 12.99 your assuming fries are included and what the waitress should have said was the fries aren't included would you like fries with your burger so we got charged extra for the fries. And when she asked what did we want to drink we said coke and Dr pepper and she brings the coke in a bottle and said they don't have coke in a fountain drink so we couldn't get a refill on the coke without getting charged for another one, when she could have mentioned that they didn't have coke in fountain drink. Needless to say we won't be back there. They need to be more specific on things when they are taking people's...
