Taqueria Avengers — Restaurant in Katy

Talked with the owners, a husband and wife team with years of experience. Wonderfully nice people. They talked me into trying my first ever hibiscus agua fresca. Just the way I like my sweets, mild sugar and easy to taste the real flavors. It is so red, but natural from the flowers. I tried hibiscus teas before, but had no clue that they have flavor. It is a touch cranberry without tart, but a bit more like prickly pear cactus.

The frijoles are really good. Sausage and cilantro throughout. I consider it a drink cause my wife is happy to just eat her way through it and hand over the cup of flavorful consume that remains.

On to the main course. Beef, chicken, and barbacoa tacos. The barbacoa came with a bit of consume from the meat as recommended by Chris. Very good. Came with choices of onion and cilantro on the tacos, and some radish and cucumber slices for some fresh crunch to add on. All good, and surprising with a vegetable other than cabbage or lettuce for the crunch. It works really well together.

Sauces review: the green was nicely picante, not pain. The red sauce… and I knew I was asking for it… red was 3 seconds of just wonderful pepper flavor, then came the speckled heat here and there. Then the red did a backflip and kicked me in the chest. It didn’t last forever, but long enough to tell me I need a little more practice.

Also got a quesadilla with a nice surprise. Costilla rib meat in the beef. The touch of fatty pieces were fully rendered and soft. Very rich in flavor and mouth feel was great. Not overpowering richness. Worked great with the cheese.

I’m going back for sure. Wife is planning our Friday night TV binge watching food already, and we will be there at their food...

I found this hidden gem one night when everything was closed after midnight and that night I was greeted by Cristóbal and his family and it was the most welcoming feeling that I have ever experienced in Katy, Texas. The service and food quality is top notch and the food was very flavourful and fresh! On my first visit I ordered Fajita and tacos all pastor and a Special Infinity Torta which has chorizo in it and it was absolutely delicious! We were provided two side orders of frijoles charros which were absolutely delicious.

I had to go back the next day and got myself another Special Infinity Torta and tacos de fajita as well as al pastor and the quality and flavor of the food is always consistent. Taqueria Avengers offers free Frijoles Charros on weekends. I highly recommend Taqueria Avengers...

This food truck definitely surprised me! The first time I came was with my son and his friends and the food was so good that I had to come back.

I ordered the quesabirrias and charro frijoles with the piña agua fresca. The food was of quality and tasted so much better than other food truck meals.

The service was exceptional and the process to order and check out was very easy. The wait time is what I would consider appropriate being that everything tastes fresh and authentic.

This is my second time coming and I will continue to come back for their food...
