The Social Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Katy

I'm not sure where to even start with this review. Bullet points may help me stay on topic.

People- the staff is the friendliest group of people that anyone could ask for in a local establishment. Service is always quick and responsive. Steve, Chris and Melissa will always help keep your glass from getting half empty, both literally and metaphorically. (Yes, I know the difference between a metaphor and an idiom, but "metaphorically" sounded cooler)

Food- Social is a full blown bar, but the food is far too good to call it bar food. The food here rivals even the nicest restaurants in the Katy area. The pork shank is my personal favorite. I go back and forth between that and Steve's garlic shrimp. I keep meaning to branch out and try the other menu items, but I can't get past those two. Occasionally I also get the fried pickles or mushrooms as an appetizer for my appetizer.

Atmosphere- perfect balance between awesomeness and comfort. It's got that Cheers type of feel to it, but with good food and not just for the regulars. Friday and Saturday nights they have live entertainment on the patio, which is always a great way to spend the evening. Kids are welcome and they have the 3 primary kid dishes available. Chicken tenders, Hamburgers and Mac n cheese.

Pricing- very reasonable, especially considering the level of cuisine quality.

I could keep going, but don't want people to think I am just one of the owners, talking up their establishment with a fake account. Check my Google local guides credentials. I'm a legit person that has become a regular patron and fan of the Social. Plus I'm campaigning to get a free hat once the new ones come in! Lol

Amazing restaurant and bar in far west Katy. Definitely a go-to spot for excellent food, atmosphere, and drinks. This isn't your typical Katy bar/restaurant. Has much more of an "in-town" feel. Fresh ingredients coupled with a simple, yet unique menu give the food a high-end feel. The owners are always hands-on and although the establishment is still new, the turnover is low. Old school bar in the sense that they serve classic, very strong drinks and always keep them flowing. Facility is clean and the indoor/outdoor bar concept is perfect for beautiful Texas evenings. Overall is not a bad experience. They have good service , must be said... but the food could be better. When you have a burger, with cheese, mushrooms and caramelized onions and is flavorless is disappointing. The guaca and queso nachos although they sounded so good... it was like a scoop of avocado... which doesn’t calm the craving right? But the queso sauce was pretty good.
