Husband was LOCKED in establishment with our two kids by the Bar Manager this evening 10/9/23. The waitress was clearly busy and got my families order wrong multiple times. My son ordered regular French fries. She bought out Sweet Potato fries. One of the cups of water she bought out was in a broken cup, water spilling. She forgot the appetizer. My husband asked for it to be comped because of the food arriving at the same time. She AGREED to take off the appetizer. Flash forward and the bill comes with the appetizer on the bill. She then tells the manager she did not agree to that? But my two kids all heard this conversation. The manager comes out. Does not introduce himself. Immediately demands we pay. "You ate it!!" Had very hostile body language with my husband, curses at my husband IN FRONT of my Kids!!! The manager then LOCKS the door and tells my family to stay put --- where can they go?? You locked them in? He said the owner was on his way. My husband called the cops. Cops show up. Owner NEVER speaks to my family. Nothing. Cops handle it all. Again, my 11 and 15 year old experienced this all. Embarrassing. This was our first and last time. I would love to be contacted. Cameras don't lie - To the Owner ... please pull up your camera footage to verify all I just said. We have nothing to hide. My family was just trying to give your place a chance. My daughter is CRYING because of this experience. Crying!
My first experience was great! We had a female bartender who was knowledgeable in everything currently on tap and the breweries. She was helpful and was great at suggesting other beers based on good conversation about what my husband and I enjoy drinking. Our second experience this past Friday night on the other hand... we had a Male bartender (closing shift, ginger hair/beard, tattoos) he was atrocious. No eye contact, his answers were short and sharp and he acted exasperated over our wanting to sample multiple beers before making a decision because he was busy chatting with a blonde female sitting a couple seats from us at the bar area. Once he was tired of standing around waiting to be asked for a different sample he said "well what ARE you looking for???" In a sarcastic manner so my husband replied he wanted a roasty bold stout, no adjuncts. So he poured him a full glass of some watered down PORTER and walked away. My husband tried drinking it but didn't and asked for Milk the Venom from brash brewing to which this guy responded "I thought you didn't want adjuncts" in an arrogant tone. Earlier in the night my husband had ordered a no label mango milkshake and this particular bartender proceeded to talk very badly of my husband's choice in beer and about the brewery and how they will be gone in about two years time. If I didn't know better I'd say he was fired from no label and he's totally resentful lol as someone who has worked sales I thought you're supposed to make your customers feel comfortable but I guess not. Had this been my first experience we would NEVER return but since I know that you do have good people working other than this guy I'll know to avoid him next time we're in town. I'm not entirely sure what his problem was since we've never...
Read moreGot this place to go tonight, pretty late, close to 11PM.
We ordered 4 wings lemon pepper (9/10) 4 wings dry hot rub (8/10) 4 wings butter parmesan garlic (4/10)
buffalo chicken dip with pita(8/10)
Pretzels with cheese(10/10)
Burger (4/10) Sidewinder fries (7/10)
Hot chicken sandwich (5/10) tater tots (7/10)
The food is decent, some items really stand out as very good, especially for bar food. The location and layout are nice, and the folks inside are kind also.
The food was pretty dang good when I was eating it, but it did give me a tummy ache, and some of the wings tasted a bit off, kind of old ish or dirty, but that could be a one off. The lemon pepper and the hot dry rub seasonings were awesome. If they sold these rubs, I would buy some. Burger and chicken sandwich were nothing to write home about. My burger was pink throughout, which, when ordering out I normally get medium well for ground meat, medium when cooking myself. This didnt seem to be an option when ordering online, FYI. Chicken sandwich was alright. Both the tots and the sidewinder fries were good. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, not overcooked. The pretzels with cheese are probably the best I have had, they were wonderfully fluffy and the beer cheese is awesome. Buffalo chicken dip was a nice surprise, though the pita bread could have been better. I would get it with chips next time.
Despite the tummy ache, I would get this place again, perhaps at a more reasonable time when turnover is higher. It is one of the better bar food joints in the fort...
