Went in yesterday with my partner to check out the gym because we will be moving to the area in July. After being greeted by the front desk staff a sales guy came over and greeted us, guided us over to his desk, and started asking us about our goals. Being in sales, and a lover of the art of sales, I immediately realized that us wanting to check out the gym was about to turn into an hour consultation and I genuinely didn't have time (or interest) to sit through it. I told him straight up, and respectfully, that I am in sales and I get it, but we just want to check out the gym to see if it will be our go-to when we move to the area. To that he answered, "well can't I just get to know you"?

This is incredibly disingenuous. You're not trying to get to know me, you're trying to gather information so you can then use it to sell us into the gym. I let it go because he is a young kid and is using the sales techniques taught by his superiors, I get it.

We talk a little more then he shows us the gym. Once we get back to the desk he goes through a shortened version of his sales pitch. "Here's the price, here's the price of personal training, here's the discounted price if you do x, y, z, etc..."

He assumes we're signing up and asks if were getting the black membership. My partner is from Venezuela, and he asked it in such an assumptive way that she didn't even realize he was about to start signing us up (slick sales technique called assuming the sale, instead of asking for the sale). I told him we aren't signing up today because we won't live in the area for another 2 months. The dude asks if I live near other EoS gyms. I don't... and I tell him. He COMPLETELY IGNORES THIS and goes on to offer us $1 for this month if we sign up today. Bro, why would I sign up today if I JUST TOLD YOU I WON'T LIVE HERE FOR ANOTHER 2 MONTHS?

I then tell him that we'll come back when we move to the area (at this point I was still considering the gym because it's one of the few in the area and although obviously over capacity, we would workout at 5-6am so it wouldn't be a problem).

He then tried to set a follow up appointment. I said NO because I am busy with work(sales), and I don't know when I can fit it in until we actually move. HE THEN ASKS WHEN WE ARE MOVING AND ATTEMPTS TO SET THE FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT ON THE DAY WE ARE MOVING 🤯 He obviously still lives with his parents and has never moved himself.

At this point I'm in absolute disbelief at the clown show I've become a part of.

After I said no to the follow appointment.. get this.. he says, "I HAVE to have an appointment" in an extremely arrogant manner. You HAVE TO HAVE AN APPOINTMENT? What does that even mean? You're trying to force me to make an appointment?

This was the moment I made the decision never to go to an EoS gym. We left shortly after this.

In sales, it's known that 10% of the sales you get are "lay down sales", meaning that the person was going to buy whether you were there or not. They already made up their mind before they came in. In these situations, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS NOT MESS UP BY SAYING SOMETHING STUPID. We had already decided on this gym(once we move) bc it has everything we need and is right next to where we will be living. Unfortunately, this dude messed up and said 3 or 4 stupid things.

This isn't intended to bash the young sales rep which is which why I left his name out. This is to bash the company. Companies like this are why people feel negatively towards sales people.

This gym uses old school pressure sales techniques and will offer you $1 for the first month only to charge you for membership fee, sign up fee, and yearly maintenance fee the next month to make up for it. They want you to sign the dotted line at any cost -EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIVE NEAR THE GYM AND WONT BE USING IT.

Also, we were there at 2 pm and it was just as packed as a LifeTime or 24hr Fitness at 6 pm. If you plan on working out in the evening DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM. If you plan on working out in the morning you'd...

I feel very sad and disappointed about the gym trade from Texans Fit to EōS. I don’t know where to start with all these down grades happening.

The maintenance has declined over all! Dirty restrooms, lockers are messy, no toilet paper in the ladies room, the saunas are constantly messing up and no longer welcoming.

They put a bright light in the sauna since some members have been doing inappropriate things in the dark. It does not feel relaxing any more, besides the new members have been messing with the thermostat.

The towels are not free but some members get special privilege if their friends of the manager.

One thing that was embarrassing and unacceptable was an unpleasant greeting from the manager DEJANEE. She yell embarrassing me in front of other customers that my account was soon to be cancel and ask why was I leaving. First of all I did not know my account was gonna cancel and second of all, where is the confidentiality of my membership information. My account was not being cancel it was transitioning to the new EŌS membership. Her comment was very humiliating.

No one greets as you come in the gym any more. I lot of the old good employees have parish. Starting with some good Trainers and ending with some good Management. There was only one manager who will greet me all the time at the front desk. She was constantly cleaning and picking up the weights that other members missed placed. She was a very charming Hispanic young lady with pale white skin always wearing a black jacket dress and groomed professionally. Very nice and welcoming.

The lockers are dirty and broken. Never room to lock my gym bag.

Young girls are always vaping in the lockers while management is in the front just talking to friends.

The parking lot is not the exception! I constantly see inappropriate things of members and managers at the parking lot. One of the MANAGERS in a black Cadillac with one of the personal trainers from the gym are constantly doing things in the parking lot for hours.

The way one of the managers dresses at the gym while she works out it’s inappropriate! She has color eyes and a big black bun it’s the same rude lady who yelled my private information.

The app of EŌS does not work! I have asked how can I fix it and no one knows. The manager heard me asking about it and instead of helping out she just walk away with a trainer. “Some unprofessional manager DEJANEE“.

Members constantly leave weights on the floor and no one says anything. I used to see some of the employees doing round ups to clean and pickup equipment which it was very appreciated, but now it’s a mess!

The studio is constantly being hugged by the class trainers after their class hours. They stay there to mingle and chat. One of them even ask me to step out since I was just getting some dumbbells discreetly while her class was barely setting up. Very rude of her, I complained to the front desk but all they said was “really” very unprofessional! Not much should it be expected from children running the gym but my question is “where was the manager on duty?”

The AC does not work on the second floor!!! It’s very dangerous to work out in those conditions. They said they have fixed it, but it still feels like 80 degrees up there.

Sadly the gym has been falling a part since the change of ownership. The gym population has increased drastically while the quality has deteriorate. The customer service is not the same and specially the integrity of the staff has diminished. I am sad to say that I’m taking my business some where else even if I have to pay more. As well as some friends who have join the gym because of me. Our family plan has been terminated and the 5 of us are now in the hunt of a better place. I usually am graceful with bad customer service since I know some people may just have bad days, but there has been multiple times where I felt singled out and disrespected by the supervisor Dejanae, to the point where it may as well be harassment. As a disclaimer it is never wrong to let a client know that they are behind on a payment, these days everything is under a subscription, but how to effectively handle those issues will always be done in a very private and respectful manner, especially To EVERY loyal customer, because it would be discriminatory not to.

My first interaction with the supervisor, before I’d even met or knew their name started in March 2025, three years into my member At this gym with no prior defaults, with her approaching my Husband, and referring to me as his girlfriend and telling him that I haven’t paid my membership, mind you my entire family comes here and she is fully aware my father pays my account and knows him well. This was unprofessional seeing that she took her time to look for him and not Me, when he is not associated with my account in any way, and also send someone else to interrupt my workout to tell me again that same day. Typically an email is simply sent out reminding you of a payment so this was unnecessary, as well as a breach of my privacy.

The next occurrence happened when I was not even speaking with Her but to an entirely different team member and she broke away from her customers to stop, single me out before I’d even said anything at all or checked in and say out loud “has your account been fixed? Oh it has? Well let me just make sure one more time” even after i had kindly let her know it already been paid, which again was unnecessary and really interrogative, I have Never experienced something like that especially from a supervisor, so that was a very distasteful experience and poor representation of how a company approaches their loyal customers.

The most recent time, today she took it upon herself to break away from her customers once again, come over to me while i was checking in, this time tell the team members that ive had payment issues for several months (not even true, so that’s odd) and then stall me after I let her know that my membership fee was paid already before I’d even came, and then she lied to my face saying that can’t be true because it updates automatically when you make a payment, yet last time when she stopped me she specifically told me that it takes 2-3 days for the system to update after a payment is made and had stalled me from my workout for that very reason, and once again referred to my husband as my boyfriend and said she “lives for this” while laughing after my husband told her that I was getting fed up with her behavior.

I am pregnant and was really being as nice as possible but seeing as I do not want to continue being bullied and harassed and because she claimed that because she is a supervisor I would have to report HER to Herself, I am just going to have to debate on whether I should continue my membership here while also hopefully saving anyone else the trouble of having to deal with this kind of immaturity. The other eos locations are awesome but this one comes with a very unprofessional supervisor, and likely the downfall of your experience. If anything changes or continues I will definitely offer another...
