Toyama Sushi & Ramen — Restaurant in Katy

We tried Toyama for take out. We got 4 rolls (tuna avocado, salmon avocado, spicy tuna, and spicy salmon) as well as nigiri combo B.

We found that the nigiri combo quality and taste was good. For whatever reason, the quality of the rolls was lacking. Rice was a bit too mushy and under-seasoned. Color of the tuna in the tuna avocado roll was off (almost purple), especially compared to the tuna nigiri. Imitation crab in the California roll was a cheaper one that had very little flavor. The Miso soup that came with the nigiri combo was ok, but was one of the stingiest portions of seaweed and tofu I have had in miso soup recently.

Overall, a decent dinner for the price and convenient to Firethorne. We'll give them another shot...

This is definitely one of the best cuisines I've ever had. Staff were quiet and very respectful and truly listen to what customers needs are which is a HUGE deal. The food was well cooked and the restaurant was extremely clean. Overall interior design was unique and beautiful. Definitely a good lunch date spot for two or a place to get to together with a friend. This place is fantastic. Very great food. The customer service is top notch as well. Most ramen places my wife and I go to list ingredients but this place just says “chicken ramen.” Unfortunately, it had mushrooms and my wife is allergic. They swapped it immediately with no fuss.
