Our family physician, Dr. Fan at the Firethorn Clinic Katy Texas office has been our primary care physician along with his wonderful assistant Ms, Ida. since 2019 and we’ve never been happier. They are the most professional, clean, caring, quick yet still has the quality, integrity, skillful, care with understanding, respectful educational staff that goes out of their way to make sure that not only do you understand what’s going on with your body, but they also help you understand anything for billing any possible medication’s, or any other medical treatment that you may need to get a referral for as well and they also take the time the effort and the patience alongside with the respect that you deserve as a human being, we would never go to another doctor! I was recommended to Dr. Fan by a close friend. I was happy with every thing for the past 2 years but unfortunately I may have to find a different doctor. The billing department used an incorrect diagnosis coding on my insurance claim for my visit and that resulted in a denial of my insurance claim for another provider visit. I have called the office countless of times & was told to talk to billing. Then when I called billing, I was redirected to talk to the office. They work together but now they act like they are not connected. It would be nice if they talk to each other. It is very frustrating & a waste of time for me in resolving this matter. I have had to take some times off from work to try to call & work with them. My insurance has to call them to explain about their billing and coding error. Now I have a bill from another provider as a result of them using the incorrect diagnosis code. It has been 2-3 weeks and I am still waiting for them to correct the code. My wife and I moved from New Jersey to Texas last September. We chose the Memorial Hermann Medical Group, MHMG, and their Doctor Fan as our Primary Care Physician. We are overwhelmingly happy with our choice. We have nothing but positive words for Dr. Fan. Extremely patient, listens and addresses all of your concerns. Prescribes top of the line medication. Sends in referrals where needed. Everything is done electronically and at the end he gives you a copy of the days reports and the medications prescribed. We also need to mention that Dr. Fan thoroughly reviews all test results and e mails you through MHMG web portal with his line of treatment and informs you if he has ordered any medication for you. The practice and the Doctor are extremely cooperative and friendly and always willing to help.
