Tiger Noodle House is a place that my boyfriend and I have been wanting to try for a while, and since we were finally in the area we decided to visit for a late lunch.
They have a great menu with many choices. As someone with celiac disease, I really appreciate that there were so many gluten-gluten free choices. I almost couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted to try! My boyfriend also had a hard time deciding too, as there were many items he wanted to try.
The menu prices seemed really fair and affordable, and since it is a very far drive for us we decided to order a lot more than we normally would. We ordered the Tea Leaf Smoked Duck, the Pepper Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and the Full House Pot. It also came with steamed rice. All of these items were gluten-free, so we shared them family-style.
The duck was delicious. The pepper chicken was flavorful and had some mild spice to it (on the menu it had one chili symbol). The General Tso's chicken also had some spice to it (also one chili symbol on the menu) and was quite tasty (this turned out to be my favorite item). The Full House pot was impressive. It was served with a flame underneath it and was just beautiful. It had several types of meat, and was quite spicy (it had two chili symbols on the menu) - it actually made parts of my mouth feel numb, haha!
Trying the different items was a lot of fun. They were all so very flavorful. The food was excellent quality and the portions were generous. The food here is much better than Pei Wei or P.F. Changs. Even though we ordered twice as much as we normally would, we spent about $70 on the food (and we brought home enough leftovers which will last us for several more meals). Two people could eat here very comfortably on half of what we spent. We went a little overboard since we live so far away and have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time.
The service was also excellent. The staff was knowledgeable about which items were gluten-free. They also never let our drinks get halfway empty, which was pretty amazing. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. The environment was very pleasant.
Overall, we both loved this restaurant very much and now consider it a favorite. We look forward to visiting again next time we are...

We love coming to Tiger Noodle House and have visited several of their locations around the Houston area. It’s consistently a great experience with authentic flavors, fast service, and huge portions—perfect for sharing or taking leftovers home.
We ordered the hot and sour soup, which arrived in a giant bowl—easily enough for 2–3 people over a couple of days. The flavor was spot-on, but I do wish it had more tofu, as that’s always something I look for in this dish.
The pot stickers were delicious—crispy, flavorful, and fresh. The crab rangoon is another favorite, with a great filling-to-shell ratio and perfectly fried. We also highly recommend the chicken lo mein, and the General Tso’s chicken was cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor.
Even the kid’s portions are extremely generous, despite there not being a dedicated kids’ menu. This is one of those places where you’ll definitely leave with leftovers—plan for at least two days’ worth of food if you’re ordering multiple dishes.
Service is excellent—attentive, fast, and friendly. Staff always offers to box everything up for you, and the presentation is always neat. Just note that if you need extra condiments (soy sauce, sweet & sour, etc.), you’ll have to ask, but they’re happy to provide them.
The restrooms were clean and well-kept, which is always a plus.
Parking can be a bit tricky, as this location is in a shopping strip and shares limited space with other businesses. We also noticed they handle a high volume of to-go orders, so things can get a little crowded near the entrance.
Final thoughts: Tiger Noodle House is one of our go-to spots for consistently tasty food and great value. Whether you’re dining in or taking food to go, it never...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying Tiger Noodle House since they opened their second location in Katy; I have heard a lot of good things about their original location! On their website, there was a link to order online through an outside app. I placed my to-go order for the secret recipe beef noodle soup, general tso’s chicken, kung pao chicken, and spring rolls. I was so excited to try the beef noodle soup!!! The other boring stuff that I ordered was for my husband, who only likes “regular” Chinese food. When I got to the restaurant I found out that my online order was never received, so the order had to be input again. I had to then wait over 20 minutes for my food to be made. At least they have a special grand opening discount right now, as they took 15% off of my bill total. A server offered me something to drink while I waited, which was a nice gesture. However, the long wait was not convenient, so make sure that you actually call the restaurant and speak with a live person if you want to make a to-go order, and do not order online! Finally, I got home with my food. Opened up what I thought was going to be some delicious secret recipe beef noodle soup that I ordered and instead I found... dan dan noodles - not at all what I ordered. I bet someone else out there got my soup and was also disappointed! After waiting so long to get my food though, I was very hungry and decided to eat the noodles anyway rather than going back up to the restaurant. The noodles weren’t horrible, but they were too oily for my taste, and again it wasn’t what I ordered - minus two stars. In summary, it might be best to let this place work out the kinks for a couple of months until you try them. I would like to actually try the beef noodle soup...
