I'm giving it one star only because the venue is gorgeous, but unfortunately that's basically the best part. I had my wedding here in December and we had the all inclusive package. The cake vendor (Cakes by Gina) phenomenal. The invitations by Bella Dia, were nice. However at first, they wanted to charge me a non refundable 150 fee for an appointment. I said something because this should have been included with the "all inclusive" price but wasn't. They said it was a miscommunication, all was well after that. The floral lady was nice, however she doesn't show you pictures of flowers or how it's going to look. I expected something much different than she explained. Not worth the money. The food was horrible, I had a horrible time picking out food for my guests because nothing was good. Honestly the food is was over priced in this "all inclusive" package. What they don't tell you before booking is that if you go over the $30 a plate you have to pay extra which will make you go over the budget. They charge 21% gratuity for having the servers but what they also don't tell you it's that it's a buffet style. They don't serve your guests, they have to go up and go through a buffet line. Open bar pricey but the drinks were nice. Also this is not included in the all inclusive price yet worth having for your guests even though you pay 25 dollars a person which again will make you go over your initial price. The DJ asks you to submit must have songs, all but 4 songs were played from that list. The officiant is a man they have contracted, very boring and monotone. When we asked before booking if we could get another officiant they said they would look for one. They came back with a new officiant a couple of months before booking. Only given 1 option and since she was more than their contracted price we had to pay out of pocket to book her. So much more I can go on about different things that went wrong but well let's get to one of the worst. The photographer (Tomas Ramos) was absolutely horrid. He is a nice man but the pictures are so so so horrible this is the most sensitive topic that makes me upset. He did NOT take pictures of me or my bridesmaids getting ready. We all had matching robes, no pictures taken. I don't have a picture with my own parents. He did not take a picture of our rings together. My wife and I don't have pictures of us together. He felt it was important to take a picture of my nephew asleep on the couch while we were getting ready. Really? I can go on and on. No good picture was taken. I feel like I lost out on memories of one of the most important days of my life that I can't take back. All in all I'd say that if you book here, you're better off finding well worth vendors. Read moreAgave Estate's staff and venue is so WONDERFUL I do not even know where to begin! The venue itself is absolutely stunning. My husband and I were looking for a unique venue and this exceeded our expectations. It really looks as beautiful in person as it does on the pictures! It is an all inclusive venue, which saved us so much time and stress in the planning process. You can tell the staff at Agave has really vetted the vendors because they were all phenomenal (catering, cake, photography, DJ, etc.). The food was so delicious (our guests were raving about it!), and they had a great variety of options to choose from. Lindsey, was also always super friendly and attentive to us when we scheduled the tour and booked with them.
But I have to say my favorite part about Agave Estates is that they include a wedding coordinator with the package. This is priceless! Stephani, our coordinator, is like the fairy godmother of weddings. She is absolutely AMAZING! I cannot recommend her enough. During the planning process she was so attentive to our needs and vision for our wedding. She also goes above and beyond by providing small decor items for her brides (seating chart, table numbers, etc). She really makes you feel comfortable with her and was such a great communicator throughout the whole process. The day of the wedding she made everything run so smoothly. I even noticed during the reception she was in the bathroom cleaning the water off of the counters. Stephani is literally on top of every little detail and always has a smile on her face. She even packed my new husband and I 2 big meals to take as "midnight snacks" to our hotel. I cannot imagine my wedding without her!
The DJ, Ivan, was awesome. He really knows his music and how to get a party started! Miguel and his staff were also wonderful. Miguel is so sweet and does an amazing job taking care of all the landscaping. The day of my wedding there were scattered showers, but I chose to have the ceremony outside. He and his staff dried all of the chairs and floor 6 times to have everything as dry as possible for the ceremony. Read moreIf you're wondering whether or not to book your special day at Agave Estates, do it! This stunning venue, from the moment my husband and I walked in, captured our hearts. It couldn't have been a more "us" venue, and I think it will be for you too! From the moment we decided to book with Agave, we were taken care of by all of the staff there. They handled all of our reception concerns, and offered a wide variety of options in their all inclusive package.
From the first tour, the floral appointment, grand food tasting, and meeting our wedding coordinator, we felt so welcomed with tons of collaborative ideas, lots of open communication, and more! Food was a huge deal breaker for us, and attending the grand tasting solidified our decision. Everything that we ate was super tasty, so you can't go wrong with that. The cake company that they work with, Gina's Cakes, were beyond. All of our guests said that it was some of the best food and cake that they've ever had at a wedding.
But, the icing on top was our coordinator, Stephani. I never realized that an in house coordinator would be something that I needed, as I'm super organized. But, boy was I wrong. Stephani was an angel sent from above. Every single question or comment I had, she had an answer for. It's cliché to say that she held our hand throughout this crazy year of life and wedding planning for us, but she literally and figuratively did. She did everything for us, from making sure that we were comfortable and happy with all of our decisions, to literally being my top contact the past few months. She was quite literally amazing, and I would give her a raise myself if I could.
If you're wondering how the pictures would look at a rustic, hacienda venue, the pictures I attached below say it all. The place was just beautiful, from the outside to the inside. The outdoor area was so magical, with the pool and lights, and lush garden greenery. The indoor was just so perfect for our aesthetic December wedding. Not much decorating was needed at a place like this, so we were so blessed and happy to have found this place.
