Happy Eats - Huli Chicken & Ribs — Restaurant in Kauai

We landed for our week vacation, obviously starving from out 5 hour flight & stumbled upon this bbq spot in the Walmart parking lot. So happy we did. The family was so sweet, very accommodating outdoor bbq style cooking my husband was amazed with their rotisserie style bbq pit !! If your husband is into grilling like mine is You Have To Take Him Here!!! Immediately!!! We had the Happy Feast it is definitely enough to feed 2 ppl . Delicious huli chicken and great service!

Takeout only, there was a tent in an open parking lot. Ample space to park! Cash or venmo only.

We ordered the huli dry rub chicken and mini marinated chicken plate. Each plate came with a scoop of rice, mixed veggies, and 1 chicken quarter. Also came with banana ketchup and lechon came with a vinegar/soy sauce?

Lechon was crispy and chewy and chicken was tender and had a great smokey flavor. Only in that parking lot on the weekends!

This has to make it to the top 10 in casual restaurants. Only on Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 2pm in the parking lot of WalMart. The chicken (particularly the marinated) is very juicy and perfectly cooked. Ribs are excellent, not dry/overcooked, and not dry/overcharred. Lechon has to be my favorite, though. Crunchy, flavorful with a thin dipping sauce. I could go on and on... do yourself a favor and try, but go early. Close at 2 or until they run out.
