As we were staying at the Sonesta, we came here for coffee and breakfast as Kind Koffee was closed on Sunday. Having tried both Kind and the Jammin' Banana, we can say that the Sonesta is easy walking distance from two excellent cafe's. You can't go wrong, but if you're looking for pastry (or Banana pudding), the Jammin' Banana has more options.

A very extensive selection of baked goods (at least first thing in the morning) is found here and the lineup gets big in a hurry, early on a Sunday morning.

We had coffee, the sunrise smoothie with protein powder, egg and cheese on a bagel and the banana pudding. Top notch execution on everything that we ordered! According to the staff, the banana pudding is a crowd favourite and sells out early. I can see why as this was delicious, with chunks of fresh banana worked into the pudding.

Do yourself a favour, take the short walk over from the Sonesta to this cafe. You'll spend half the money on a superior coffee and pastry (and banana pudding of course) and really enjoy the start...

Coffee is EXCELLENT! The service is poor. I have gotten my usual order (almond milk latte) at many places around the island and the jammin’ banana is by far the best. (They have overtaken JavaKai). The place is small with very little seating. The big con for me was a member of my party got a cold brew and it was weak and flavorless, mistakes happen, no worries, but they wouldn’t do anything to fix it. They said he just had to order another coffee and pay for it. I don’t like the lack of customer service. I went to another coffee place the next day and I messed up my own order and they offered to remake it for free even though I forgot to mention I had an allergy. I’m not saying the Jammin’ Banana had to go that far, but it was their weak cold brew that was the problem so I feel like they should have offered to...

Oh my goodness. This place is perfect. My family is staying at a nearby hotel and this has become our regular breakfast spot. I'm not usually a fan of sweet coffee drinks but I adore the chocolate banana cold brew. It's perfect. Pictured is the oatmeal cookie sandwich, like a large whoopie pie. My husband and I fought over it and I won the last bite. My kids like the bagels and can pick their own spreads (peanut butter, Nutella, cream cheese, etc). So far we've also tried the cinnamon roll, banana bread, banana pudding and the brownie. All are worth it. We're looking forward to trying more things over the next few days. The staff are friendly and helpful and the shop itself is cute and bright. Definitely worth a trip, and if you're staying close by, skip the hotel breakfast...

A great spot to get early morning, coffee, and anything banana that your heart may desire. It leans pretty sweet, but they do have some really solid bagel options and bagel sandwiches on most days. Amazing location, Google maps has it slightly wrong within the plaza, it is almost on the Far north side of the plaza on the interior, it looks out right onto the beach, but you do have to take the foot bridge across toward Dukes to get to the actual beach. Went there twice already this trip, nice, moist, banana bread and my partner liked thebanana pudding, but I found it a little too sweet for me first thing in the morning. Very nice staff, good to support local.

It was Christmas Day when we went. They had a line out the door constantly. Since they were only open until 11am that day, we decided to get large smoothies. I got a Mango Tango and my husband got a Sunrise. These are the best smoothies I’ve ever had. They didn’t fill it with crushed ice to make the bulk of the smoothie, so it was filled with more of the good stuff. Entirely smooth from start to finish; no separation of ingredients since again it’s all fruit and not filler. I had a few little chunks of fruit at the bottom that didn’t get destroyed but they were just lovely bites at the end. I would go back to this island just for Jammin Banana.
