Jesse's Fajitas n Ritas — Restaurant in Kaufman

My son, husband and I stopped in for the first time today. We were greeted warmly right away and sat down. Chips and salsa were brought out promptly and also server was there in no time to get us drinks and we ordered queso. The salsa was very good, the queso was well queso, nothing special about it and nothing terrible. I did not however care for the chips much. It seems as if they may purchase the cheapest bag of bulk chips, and put them in a warmer. They are pretty thick and coarse grained. Not a big deal, just not our preference in chips. My son ordered The Birdie a chicken sandwich, he's a big chicken sandwich guy. He has gotten many chicken sandwiches over the years and in many different states. He said out of all he's ever eaten he would give it a 7 out of 10. Pretty good praise from him, he's not easy to please. My husband ordered chicken flautas with street corn. He said the flautas were good and the street corn was pretty good but missing the char grill on the corn and Tajin. The server brought him some Tajin when he requested it and he said it was much better. I ordered Lexi's pasta, I requested no shrimp because I do not like seafood. The dish was fantastic, the pablano cream sauce was very good, combined with the chicken and veggies it was fantastic overall. The sausage was well, sausage. For me the dish does not need the sausage, but it was good. Our server was very attentive and nice. She delivered everything promptly. Overall we really enjoyed our experience. Kaufman has lots of Mexican food restaurants. We prefer Jaliscos but Jessie's offers such a variety and different selections it's not just traditional tex-mex fare. I think we will be returning in the future and try out some of the other...

The food was amazing! I think they may have been short staffed. It took a really long time to get our drinks after we received our chips and salsa. The salsa was spicy and a drink was definitely needed with it. It also took a long time to get our order taken. Our two servers seemed unorganized. It took a long time to get our checks as well. Once we got our checks the waitress walked away and it took a really long time for her to return. I walked up to the counter to have the person there take my payment and he said the server had to do it. We were at the restaurant for a really long time. The majority of the time was waiting on the servers to return to get and fill drinks, give us our bills, and then take our payments. I asked what they offer for someone's birthday and the waiter said sopapias and chorro's. I said bring the chorro's. He brought out a sopapia to the birthday girl and a bowl with Chorro's and ice cream. I thought, "Wow, they are so generous". When I got the bill they charged me for the chorro's. I asked why and the lady server said because they only offer sopapias for the birthday. She took it off my bill as I was offered either sopapias or chorro's. Went to eat at this place tonight and this place was just absolutely amazing was greeted with a very kind face The Host was absolutely amazing he made sure that we got a table and we were comfortable our waiter was awesome he was very quick and on point with everything and made sure we was comfortable and just had everything we needed the owner of the place Jesse was very kind he spoke to us the food was absolutely amazing the tortillas was great I got the chili stuffed pepper I don't remember what it was called but it was absolutely amazing the beans and rice were amazing we got a bowl of queso which was awesome they're hot sauce I could take a whole case of that home the chips were very good and the homemade tortillas I give props to whoever makes those most definitely took some of those home I would recommend this restaurant to anyone if I could give more than five stars I definitely would for just a soft opening right now this place is going to do wonderful and I am glad that he picked Kaufman to come to because it was absolutely amazing the very wonderful atmosphere very welcoming and absolutely amazing food so if you're wondering how Jesse's is definitely go there and enjoy yourself because you're going to...
