B. Bakes Deli & Cakes — Restaurant in Keene

I consider myself pretty accommodating when it comes to the hospitality industry as I have been in it for years. This place is relatively new to Keene and I have been 4 times. Food each time has been good. Very good. Fresh and checked the boxes both taste and visually. The decor is bright and clean. Bathroom clean. I have 2 main issues and this was shared by a few people around us. This is a place you sit and eat or order out. Yet they treat every order as a take out. Expensive paperware,liners and soup containers and when one or two people wanted to take half a sandwich home another expensive container. People are generally trying to reduce waste so perhaps our lunch on bio plate is a better bet. Certaining easier to manipulate the food in and out. A packet for take out. .. As I walked out of the store I was once again reminded that after trying to engage with lady behind desk ,how non customer friendly this place is. Great take out as they clearly do not want a meeting...

I've realized that sandwiches are a pretty big deal in the New England area. Challenge accepted to try variations at different locations....

Glad that we finally walked in the door at B. Bakes !!

We had The 28 Washington and The Princess. The house baguette was awesome and the fillings were generous. Great sandwiches and future go tos above and beyond other local sandwiches.

Also purchased a brownie, a cupcake and a cookie. The brownie was large, moist and excellent. The cupcake was also moist and loaded with some incredible butter cream. The cookie is for later ... Their cupcakes are the best in Keene.

B. Bakes is absolutely amazing! I come here almost daily for lunch and have never had a bad meal. They have new soups daily that never disappoint, meat is fresh and sandwiches and salads are made to perfection. Their pastries are dangerously good! The woman who works the front register is knowledgeable, kind and cares about the customers. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for an order. The Westie is my go to sandwich and brownies are my fav and always fudgy! Definitely worth the stop if you are in Keene or a local looking for a...
