As always, the food is great. I've never appreciated the price, although it is competitive with other places in town, nor has the service always been fantastic. I'm writing this review because this time... I had a problem. We had put in a simple enough order, when we went to pick up our food the person behind the desk asked us to wait, and then answered 3 more phone calls (and then had a conversation with some of the cooks). We weren't too bothered, got our food and drove home, only to find that part of our order was missing. We called them to ask them about it, when we called they asked us to hold and then hung up. I realize that technical issues happen. So we waited a minute and called back. We again, were put on hold, when we finally got to talk to someone we mentioned they'd hung up on us... And they didn't respond... So we then told them part of our order was missing, they gave us a hard time about this, then told us we could come get it any time... We asked if they could deliver it, and again were met with opposition. The delivery finally showed up 25 minutes later (we live less than 10 minutes away)
No one ever apologized. Not once. It really felt like we were more of an inconvenience than an opportunity to fix a problem.
All I'm saying, I'm dissatisfied, would appreciate an apology, and would recommend caution...
Read moreAfter reading so many positive reviews, I was really excited to give this place a try. The staff was very friendly and the prices were good; unfortunately, the food just wasn’t. The chicken in the Kung Pow Chicken was rubbery and the only veggies included were celery and baby corn. I’ve had Kung Pow Chicken at 50+ Chinese restaurants around the country (always my “safe bet” when trying out a new spot for the first time) and I’ve never had it served without REAL veggies, and at the very least, some kind of peppers. There was zero “POW” in this chicken, and in fact, it was borderline sweet.
Rice is always hit or miss in these small restaurants, and was definitely a miss here. It was served cold with an almost “waxy” texture. Hard to describe exactly, but there was a film on the the rice that stuck to your tongue and coated the inside of your mouth.
They get an extra star for a friendly, hard-working staff, but the food will ultimately keep me from coming back the next time I’m craving...
Read moreGreat overall when compared to your typical Chinese establishment. I should have taken pictures, healthy portions of everything but was too hungry and didn't realize how much I would like the food. beef teriyaki was great and didn't skimp on quantity boneless spare ribs are some of the best I've had with little to no fat and tasty. I didn't need to drown them in a sauce. chicken fingers were full of chicken and not a ton of breading pork fried rice could have used more pork and I prefer a bit more vegetables mixed in but not a bad rice at all should have asked for extra duck sauce, container wasn't big enough for the healthy portions of chicken fingers Yum!!!
Will...
