Absolutely disgusted. My husband and I recently move to the area and decided to try this sub shop. After ordering, we sat down and waited for our food to be prepared. Already, I felt like something was off. One of the employees was frantic, and putting up a sign on the door stating that would be closing early this evening at 5pm. That wasn't a huge deal, but what happened next WAS TRAUMATIZING. As another employee was walking in to start her shift, the one lady who was putting up the signs about closing early, walked up to her and said "we aren't going to be here long, we aren't feeling good", and by "we", she was referring to herself AND THE WOMAN WHO WAS MAKING OUR FOOD. So immediately, I am uncomfortable. My husband and I ask what's going on, and she proceed to say that the two of them have been sick to their stomach!!! While making our food!!! So my husband asks "is it safe for you to be making our food if you are sick?" And the lady responds "yeah that is why we are closing down early". So, if she agreed that it's not safe to be making food for others, why did they proceed to make mine?? If they were sick, they should have shut down immediately instead of putting people at risk. Thank God I heard what she hasd mumbled to the other employee that was coming in, that she was sick to her stomach, otherwise we would have had no idea, and could have gotten whatever the two employees had. WILL NEVER BE...
Read moreI do love a good hometown sub shop. The sandwiches are tasty. The prices high. About $20 for a full sandwich, over 10 for half. I understand price increases, what I do not understand is the ultra thinly sliced - see-through slivers of cheese. Why bother adding it - you are definitely charging for it. These cheese slivers have no flavor other than to add color maybe? While eating our sandwiches, we kept stopping to investigate these very delicate colored slivers of orange and white something as they were falling from the sandwich. If one tried to pick up the delicate thing it would break again.
Upon fully dissecting the sandwich it is quite apparent that there must be some kind of ration on cheese. I have never seen cheese sliced so that you can literally see through it. Less than paper thin.
The bread was fresh and had a really high rise. So that's nice. Lots of lettuce and tomato. The meat was sliced thin and present, at least it was there and it was nit transparent. I would like to have seen more meat on the sub- but honestly I was more blown away by how they tried to pass off the cheese on this sandwich.
This is pretty silly friends. As much as I love supporting a local business, I dont think I can support this type of tomfoolery. Nice people and clean...
Read moreThere was one person ordering already, and the woman cleaning the tables ran behind the counter to help me on the other register. I ordered a full size Destroyer sandwich and it came out literally 45 seconds later. Just look at this thing, it's massive! And freaking delicious. It's only slightly more expensive than Subway or Big Town or Charlies but the food is SO much freaking better. The staff is super friendly, and they didn't even know I'm friends with the owner (who's a fantastic woman by the way), and even still from the moment I stepped in to the moment I stepped out in a food coma - I felt welcomed and well taken care of. Not to mention this sandwich looks like it should be framed...
If you are headed to get a sub at lunch at a chain restaurant, don't. Come here instead - you will not regret it!
(edit: I'm not sure why my photo got uploaded 5 times lol, I've let Google know, so hopefully they'll...
