While visiting my sis, we decided to stop at this restaurant. We were there around 2:30 pm on Fri. 5/5/23. The place was not busy at all. Only 4 other tables of people were eating. When we sat down I noticed there was ketchup splatters all over the plastic sign on the table & the table felt slightly sticky. We were hungry & decided we would still give the place a chance. Our waitress Christy greeted us in a nice manner, but it went downhill quickly. I ordered water & soda both with lemon & my sis ordered water with lemon. It took about 10 mins for our drinks to arrive, and they came with no lemon. I asked server for the lemon and she said sorry I'll bring it. She came back to take our order...still no lemon. Once again sorry I will bring it. 3rd vist to table another 10 mins later still no lemon placed our silverware on table & we asked for it again. Finally after about 5 more mins. 5 small pieces of lemon arrived. We waited another 25 more mins for our food to arrive. Waitress only had 1 other table & then another table was seated in her area. All this time we never saw her go into kitchen to check on our food. When she finally did & brought it out, my sis asked if she would mind waiting while she quickly checked her steak to see if it was in fact cooked medium. She said she would be back, but ended up waiting impatiently while my sis checked. It was cooked ok, but to our horror, both our meals were luke warm at best. My green beans maybe about five of them were warm and the rest cold and looked old & shriveled up. Both our garlic mashed potatoes were barely warm and were cold in the center. When server came to check on our meals we told her about our cold meals & she said she would check their heating area & let Manager know. She offered to take back but we said no we had an appointment plus we were very hungry. After asking for the check a couple times, it finally arrived. I was getting more upset & left restaurant while my sis waited to get her receipt. She asked the server if she even mentioned to the Mgr. about our cold food because most places the Mgr. would come to the table & apologize. The sever admitted she didn't say anything to Mgr. Lousy service, dirty table & cold food. Will we go back....I think NOT ! Shame on them. In fact I got so turned off by service & food I highly doubt I will ever want to try an Applebee's regardless of what...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Apple Bees, a charming restaurant nestled in our small town, and I’m delighted to share that it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. The ambiance is perfectly cozy, with soft lighting and rustic decor that exudes a sense of comfort and familiarity.
The standout feature of Apple Bees is undoubtedly the food. Every dish is prepared with care and skill, capturing the essence of homecooked goodness. I started with their signature homemade bread and butter, which was delightfully fresh and buttery. For my main course, I chose the pot roast, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The meat was tender and flavorful, accompanied by perfectly seasoned vegetables and a rich gravy that tied everything together beautifully. It tasted like something my grandmother would make, which was both nostalgic and comforting.
The menu at Apple Bees is a wonderful mix of classic comfort foods and inventive takes on old favorites. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every need is met with a smile. It’s clear that they take great pride in their work, and their passion for creating a welcoming dining experience shines through in every aspect of the restaurant.
Dessert was equally impressive—I couldn’t resist trying the homemade apple pie, which was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. The crust was flaky and golden, and the apples were spiced just right, making it a true indulgence.
Overall, Apple Bees is a gem in our small town, offering not just a meal, but a comforting escape that feels like an extension of home. If you’re looking for a place where the food is as warm and inviting as the atmosphere, this is it. I’ll definitely be returning soon and highly recommend Apple Bees to anyone looking for a genuine, homecooked dining experience. Five stars...
Read moreI am compelled to write a review after having consistently great service and experiences at the Lewisburg Applebee's. There are numerous wonderful servers at this restaurant, but over the past few months, Krissy has been a standout. She is most welcoming and gracious when we arrive. She is super fast at getting drinks and apps and totally accommodating about special requests with entrees. She checks our table every time she passes by to ask if we need anything and inquires about our satisfaction with the food. No matter how many things we ask for, she works hard to quickly take care of it. When it comes to coffee at the end of our meals, she brews a fresh pot and warms up the cups- WOW - does that make a difference. She is masterful at anticipating the need for drink refills, extra boxes and bags for take home food, and even the tiny lids for salad dressing and sauces. Krissy has a lovely, engaging personality and just enhances the entire Applebee's experience. We have a great time and a fabulous meal and appreciate all her extra efforts so much. Lewisburg Applebee's is lucky to have such a magnificent server on their team. I have to issue highest compliments to Julie as well. She has been tending bar over the past few months when we were there. After a most cheerful greeting, she brings out a world class Manhattan on the Rocks. Today the drink arrived as soon as we sat down without even placing the order. Again WOW - talk about feeling special! She always comes back to the table to ask how the drink came out and my 90 year old mother feels like royalty. We deeply appreciate this extra special attention and the care taken to make a really great drink. Thanks for these great, hard working people Applebee's. They truly make...
