We visited for Sunday brunch. I did read other's reviews before we went there, and the reviews were right. This place is a very nice location, with good fresh items, even for a buffet. We did make a reservation. Recommended if you have a large group cuz their Sundays are very busy. The Blackberry scones were amazing! My only suggestion would-be --- we sat by the window where it was almost too bright and sunny (and there were no blinds or shades). But that wasn't so bad after a while. But it did really bring to our attention how cloudy, fingerprinted, and lipstick marked the drinking glasses were. Read moreGinger & Soul was a vendor recommended by our venue. We had several quotes for cakes that seemed high for what we wanted, which was an olive oil cake with a lemon drizzle, and a berry coulis. Since we were planning the wedding from Boston, MA and the venue was in Plano, IL we had to work out how we would taste the cake. Ginger & Soul got a piece to the venue when I stopped by the venue to check things out when I was home. I was able to fly it back to Boston and try it with the bride. We were impressed and went with them. The cake at the reception was beautiful and our cake topper fit perfectly. All our guests were impressed with the cake. Very well done! Would highly...
Read moreI had high hopes for my first visit to Ginger+soul for breakfast, but it quickly turned into a frustrating experience. Arriving at 10:20 AM, I was surprised to find the restaurant completely empty yet informed that they were fully booked due to prior reservations.
It was disheartening to hear that, despite the lack of patrons, they had no flexibility to accommodate us. We were not offered any alternatives or even the possibility of waiting for other guests to arrive. The staff's lack of willingness to explore options left us feeling unvalued as potential customers.
In the hospitality industry, professionalism and customer service are key, and this experience sadly fell short. I hope they reconsider their approach to reservations and customer engagement...
