Chicken Kitchen — Restaurant in Kendall

Chicken Kitchen is awesome! I really started eating more Chicken Kitchen last year when I would have pregame meals before my basketball games which was ideal in terms of carbs and protein. In general, I always order the same thing. A bowl with chicken, rice, beans, tomato, and lettuce. I top that off with two cups of the curry mustard sauce, which is their best sauce by far. Don’t waste your time with another sauce, Chicken Kitchen was made for curry mustard.

I live close to this particular location which is convenient because I’m usually home within 20-30 minutes of leaving. Sometimes I’ll come here after working out at UFC. It doesn’t take particularly long for me to get my food unless there’s a long line which I have yet to see. Usually it takes the staff about 60 seconds to make my bowl ready and half a minute to process the payment. They are quick so props to them. I've been going here for over 20 years. The only positive thing I can say that’s been a consistent is Max’s positive attitude & he’s worked there for over 20+ years. I was in elementary school when he worked there, and he’s attitude has always been positive even to this day! However, this management and everyone else has been horrible... They started charging $$ for the SKIN ON THE CHICKEN (that they plan to throw away anyway)... are you serious??? How cheap do you have to be?! I'm paying for the SKIN on the chicken I ALREADY PAID for? Plus, the 2 women who have worked there always have an attitude. They’ve been like that for the past 4+ years. Management needs to be replaced and stop being so cheap. 20+ years and now I’m fed up. Will continue my business somewhere else if nothing changes.

The food is fine; but dear lord, the manager of all people officially put this location on my list of never visiting again. My wife and walk in at night to simply get two chicken breasts. When the manager, a heavy-ish older Hispanic woman heard the order, she yelped and in Spanish basically told the other employee not to serve us that much in case other orders came in. To make matters worse, she did this because my wife and I were ordering separately, so we didn’t appear to be together and my wife does not look Hispanic; so the manager thinking that her comment would go without recourse is really just disgusting. Then seeing that the two chicken breasts somehow came out to $40 (ridiculous I know) my wife apologized and said she would just be taking one.
