Don Burrito — Restaurant in Kendall

On their website, they listed a delivery service from a company called Sauce, that they list as a Preferred SERVICE. I used this service for the first time today and the driver left the food at someone else’s home, I explained to, not just the delivery service but also the restaurant, that the food never made it to my home, The delivery SERVICE said that I needed to wait for a refund and the restaurant basically said that they’ve never had any issues with this delivery service. Bottom line, I have no food, spent Fifty Dollars, and have not gotten a refund, and the restaurant is absolutely not helping with the service that they have Listed on their website as a trustworthy company. This is a terrible way to do business. I realize that anyone can make a mistake and drop off the food at a different location, however to have to wait for a refund is completely unacceptable, especially for something that was their mistake. I told the manager what had happened, and the first thing out of her mouth was that they’ve never had absolutely any issues with them and that it must’ve been a new driver. It’s sad when the incident that occurred is not being validated or heard, and I as a customer have not been made whole and have to wait for a refund, when they have a picture of where they left the food and I sent a picture of the front of my home showing where I live, which is completely different. For all of you, I would completely steer clear of Sauce delivery SERVICE, as they are not trustworthy. I hope you all do not have to go through what I am going through, because you will be out the money without absolutely any retribution. We all work hard for our money, and this situation could happen to any one…beware of Sauce...

Excellent food at a great price!

I came here for the first time today (5-25-2024) because I saw a reel about the best Mexican restaurants in SoFlo and this was the closest one to me.

I would have loved to have stayed an eaten inside but my daughter wanted to get it to go and eat at home. 😒

It was fairly quiet on a Saturday afternoon. They have indoor and outdoor seating. No one was eating outside.

I ordered the enchiladas verde with chicken. My daughter ordered the shrimp tacos. They both came with Mexican rice and refried beans on the side. Both had three tacos/enchiladas per order. We sat outside and waited. It was ready in about 15-20 minutes.

When we arrived home, the food was still hot. The chicken enchiladas were excellent. The sauce on them is a nice lime cilantro sauce. Very tasty! 😋 The meal is pretty big. I was starving, but was still only able to eat half of it. My daughter also had leftovers. She liked the tacos. They dice the shrimp up, which she liked.

Altogether, after tip, the bill was still less than $50. I find this very reasonable for the amount of food and as delicious as it was. I would love to go back and enjoy a meal inside of the restaurant. Maybe have a...

Don Burrito is cravable-good food. We can't get enough of their delicious food and we make this one of our regular spots that we hit at least once a month.

One of our favorites might surprise people as it is their chicken soup. The soup literally could be a meal as it is chock full of fresh vegetables and chicken paired with a side of rice. I have no idea what the flavoring they use is, but it is outstanding. It is especially good during cold and flu season and you need that warm goodness that chicken soup brings!

We also are crazy for their fresh guacamole. It is so thick and chunky and we usually need a second bowl! Their tortilla chips seem like they are fresh too so they are the perfect match.

I also love their spinach empanada as I am not a big meat eater. It is loaded with deliciously-seasoned spinach, topped with melted-gooey cheese and just writing about it makes me want more now!

This is a family run business so we love going in and seeing our warm, friendly faces that we see every time. They are excellent and attentive and make the whole experience great.
