McDonald's get your app!
Instead of the app simply asking me to update my payment information, it gave me an error message. It asked me to show the code to the person at the counter, and they would take care of me. Ha! No one knew what the code meant. It took three representatives, 20 minutes of waiting, and 8 people added in front of me on the line for the manager to finally stop what he was doing to assist me. He didn't understand the error message either. But as soon as he looked at the cash register, he found my order, why it was stuck, and I paid. All of that took about 20 seconds.
Of course, then I still had to wait for my food. A 7 minite trip turned into 30 minutes for absolutely no reason. The app is horrible. While all of this was unfolding, I watched other people come in with similar mistakes. Instead of the employees troubleshooting the issue first, they always blamed the customer for potentially doing something wrong first. Where does that make any sense?? Even if I as the customer did do something wrong, I don't work here! You do! Help me fix it.
I fully admit that the restaurant was in full on rush mode. The manager was on the line, putting orders together. (I hand it to him for pitching in, but that also means they are understaffed... hmm, maybe pay a little more during a pandemic...) They had a long line outside at the drive thru. I've also come to understand that they expedite the drive thru over dine-in orders to maintain their ratings. I get it. But the level of customer service was ridiculously low. Instead of griping at your customers, gripe at headquarters to fix their glitchy app.
Upside, because of the volume, the fiod was piping hot and fresh. But they really didn't have much of a choice. The food didn't have any...

I did a mobile order while in line bc both lanes were so long, I had enough time to do the order and pay before even reaching the speaker. It was VERY simple. A cheeseburger with extra pickles and a medium fry. After we finally got our food and started driving home, we were about halfway there, and my daughter is like, “Mom, there’s no meat on here”, she passes me the burger and there is no meat! Then I got out walked up to the drive up and Gave us the same food again so I handed it back and they kept saying the wrong order I repeated myself 3 times finally they handed it to me after I was letting another customer get ther food thru the drive thru and I had to ask for ranch sauce because the woman didn’t get hers then I walked to the car drove away and opened my sandwich the bottom roll was so hard II couldn’t bite into it!!!
