Ciao Pizza and Catering — Restaurant in Union

I usually do not do this, but being that I am so livid I must. My coworkers and I order from here very often, we are a big company with many employees therefore we bring Ciao a lot of business. From this day on we will no longer order from Ciao. We ordered lunch at 11:30, @ 1:30 we called to check the status on our food and was told it was on its way and was stopping at our location before any other. 25 mins later another employee of ours called to check the status being that we are only 4 mins away from them, and was told the driver made other stops and was making a U-turn to us right away. Therefore the driver did not do what he was “told”. Our food arrived 2+ hours later then we ordered, and we were given a tuna salad instead of one of the salads requested. This is not the first time this has happened. I called and was extremely upset, I was placed on hold again, and was then told they would arrive in 8 mins, by the manager. Never was I offered to be comp’d being that this is not the first time. I called back and he agreed to comp the entire meals. 45 mins later I still had not received my food. I called again, and was told the driver would be here she was out already. My food, or so I thought was my food, was delivered and to my surprise I received just a slice of chicken. NOT the salad I ordered and never received !! I called back and told the manager we are never, as a company ordering from them again and I expect all meals to be voided. First he tells me “mam you have your salad!”. When in fact he didn’t realize I never even received the salad for the chicken in the first place !!!!!! Even if he thought I had the salad for the chicken wouldn’t it be smart business and polite to just make a new salad to send? I have never written a review ever or treated a restaurant like I have today. I am completely disappointed and disgusted with this place to treat us the way they do when we give so much business even when they’ve messed up in the past...

The other day I ordered, Ciao Pizza and Catering, for lunch. I ordered their Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, & Buffalo Chicken Slices. With a side of marinara sauce for the crust. I absolutely loved their Italian Sausage slice. It was really really good! Each of the slices shared the same crust and depth. The crust and depth of the pizza slices were OK at best though. The Buffalo Chicken Slice barely had any flavor, and the Pepperoni Slice was lacking all around. The only saving grace was that the Italian Sausage slice was extremely exceptional and the marinara sauce was very good as well too. The cheeses in each slice tasted identical, but really stood out in comparison, with the Italian Sausages that were on the slice. I couldn’t highly recommend, Ciao Pizza and Catering, but if you’re in the Union, NJ area, def check out this place for their Italian Sausage Slice. Maybe their other menu items are good, but def go there if you enjoy a good Italian Sausage Slice, it greatly impacts my total score. My Coworker and I have been hearing about this pizzeria for weeks finally got to go it was AMAZING !!!! If I could give 10 stars I would in a heartbeat. Greeted by the owner who was super friendly and welcomed us with smile . Provide recommendations when we asked about certain items on the menu . Had extremely patience for my coworker who couldn’t make her mind up because there is so many choices Lolol I had the chicken parm sub and chips so so yummy I should have ordered two !!! My coworker tried the Cesar salad loved how it was prepared and full of chicken . The eggplant Rotini the sauce and flavor was perfect blend must try !!!! All food was made fresh and not a long wait . The owner was such a nice man was talking to us while our food was being made and went out his way to make us feel welcomed. People were coming in left and right please check this place out. I can’t wait to go back !!!!!!! Thank you...
