Came in on a Friday night at 7:30. There was a wait for large groups but for a party of two I was seated within 5 mins. The waitress explained how the restaurants works. We got both the Hot pot and Korean BBQ. I ordered the mushroom soup and my boyfriend got the Japanese miso. We ordered a very large list of meats for dinner. We ordered some veggies like broccoli, onions, bean sprouts and udon noodles, shumai and gyoza to compliment our soups. It's all you can eat but you shouldn't order too much because you will be charged $13 a pound for food that is not eaten. We went to the sauce bar and made our own sauces. my sauce consisted of soy sauce, garlic, green onions, oyster sauce, hosin sauce, sugar and sesame seeds. We also got a bowl of olive oil, salt and pepper for the grill. They also had a small cold bar with bean sprout salad, see weed salad and Kimchi. There was also some fruit and cake. Making the sauces took less then 10 minutes and when we got back to our table we were met with all the meat we ordered. For drinks my boyfriend ordered strawberry soju and I ordered Lychee Lemonade which I didn't even know existed and is now my new favorite drink. We started with the thinly sliced lamb, which was very good. Then the Kobe beef. the Kobe beef barely had any fat. It was my favorite out of the thinly sliced meet. We cooked all of our thin meats in the soup and we also got an additional bowl to put soup in that was not heated. once we heated the meat we placed it in the warm soup bowl and then dipped the meat into our sauce bowl to avoid getting burned. you can adjust the heat of our hot soup bowl we just didn't realize at the time. we then cooked the prime ribeye on the grill. The waitress offered to cook it for us but we did it ourselves...cooking yourself is definitely a work out, but it was fun and we had a good time and laughed a lot. we over cooked that ribeye but it was still good. next we had our grill changed and began cooking the beef bulgogi. It was amazing. the wet rub is full of flavor. We then had the thinly sliced prime brisket. it had less fat than the lamb. Next on the grill we had chicken bulgogi which was also just as good as the beef. we were so full at this point. our last item on the grill was the spicy calamari. it was honestly too spicy for me. If you can't handle spicy do not order. I can handle a kick of spice but this was a bit more intense then I expected. Overall I had a great time and a great experience. My boyfriend has never been to hot pot and he said its 100% worth it. He is excited to come back. I also saw people who had a party and ordered a tower or margaritas, I would definitely come here with a large group and eat and drink. This is the first Hot Pot/KBBQ that had a full bar. This location is very large. The staff is very attentive and I love that they offer extra plates, bowls and utensils that you can grab yourself. They have a very large menu, you can find something for everyone in your group.

Union, NJ is my hometown and I was excited to hear that they opened up a K-Pot there! If you've been to the other K-Pot locations this one is slightly different. Pros: First, I really like that there are, overall, more vegetable options for both the hot pot and the grill. Veggie options are not as plentiful, especially for the grill, at other locations. I've been to this location three times total. During one of my visits, my brother who is vegan had plenty of options to choose from whereas at other locations we did not feel this was the case. We also really enjoyed the grilled pineapple option - it was so tasty! Second "pro" is I feel like this location is slightly less busy than other locations but sometimes there can still be a small wait. A small con is that this location does not offer any hot appetizers like some other locations but the plentiful food options for the hot pot (if you choose to get hot pot or both) makes up for the lack of hot food buffet options. Also, I wish there were some additional banchan options or perhaps slightly more interesting desserts. At this particular location the grills were electric rather than gas which some might prefer one over the other but I did notice that our grills did not catch or burn as easily. They provided a really nice scallion garlic oil to base the pan with and it made a lot of the meats extra tasty. The restaurant is aesthetically really nice, the decor is cute, and the music was a nice volume so you can still have a nice conversation with the people you are eating with - yay. There is plenty of parking since it's located in a shopping plaza with access to lots of other stores and retail. Route 22 can be hard to navigate but I think it was worth the trip! Pricing - I think the pricing is quite fair for the value. At $29 pricing for the weekend, for example, is really fair compared to most Korean bbq restaurants. If you want both hot pot and bbq then you pay $5 extra which needs to be a unanimous decision for the table. At $34 all-you-can-eat I still believe that it's a really good value. Be sure to check it out with someone who has done kbbq before and I think you'll have a nice experience.

We loved our experience at KPOT! It is undoubtedly the best place to get AYCE kbbq and hotpot in the area! We were greeted and seated right away once we came in. It was a Friday night, so they were definitely busy! The booths are very spacious too. Our party of 2 had plenty of room to sit and store our jackets. It was our first time at KPOT and our awesome server Chris gave us a rundown of the menu and the ordering process. You can select just hotpot, just bbq, or both. We opted for both! The self serve bar is definitely one of the highlights of this place. It have dessert, various salads as appetizers (bean sprouts, pickled radish, seaweed salad, kimchi) and a sauce bar! They have a huge selection of sauces to custom mix your own and even recipe signs on what to combine if you don’t know what to do. By the time we came back from the service bar, almost all of our food had arrived already! They are super quick. Everything we ordered for both the kbbq and hot pot were great. I could tell the meat was great quality and our soup bases were so flavorful. Definitely go for the Tom yum or spicy Szechuan if you like a little heat! They have soo many dessert options, everything from ice cream bars to ice cream sandwiches. I got the banana pudding flavor which is apparently limited edition! It was really good. I have to shoutout the service here! Everyone was so nice and we felt super taken care of. They were really on top of switching out our grill plates when they got too burnt, and asking us if we wanted refills of anything. Our server Chris was wonderful and gave us great recommendations too. He even brought us oil when he realized the food on our grill was sticking haha. Everyone is well trained and nice. You’ll definitely have a great experience here. Come check out KPOT the next time you have a kbbq or hot pot craving!

If you plan to visit this Kpot in Union I highly recommend requesting any server other than Chris. Unless, of course, you’re looking for a free meal because if Chris is your waiter, chances are he won’t be paying attention to your table anyway.

I haven’t visited this location in about a year or so since moving an Hour away, so I was really excited to come by one of my favorite spots to eat after so long. But after my last experience. I can’t say I’ll be back. My recent visit to kpot was, unfortunately, soured by the service we received from our waiter, Chris. From the moment we sat down, it was clear that his attitude towards our table was very different from the table he interacted with moments before.

I don’t know if this was him judging us or if he simply decided that our table didn’t deserve the same level of service as others, but whatever the reason, it was unacceptable. Dining out is about more than just the food, it’s about feeling welcomed and valued as a guest. Chris made us feel like we were an inconvenience right from the start, for whatever reason that was that he decided that day.

We were not rude or disrespectful in any way. There was no reason for him to act this way toward us. In fact, we barely had a chance to say anything to him at all before he would rush off, giving him no opportunity to perceive any level of disrespect throughout the entire dinner. His lack of attention was so extreme that if we were dishonest people, we could have walked out on our bill without him even noticing. That’s how little he checked on us.

Throughout the experience, Chris was barely attentive to our table, yet we could overhear him engaging in conversations with other guests. He was expressive, cheerful, and talkative with them, but when it came to us, his demeanor completely changed to just very cold and uninterested. It was strange to watch him smile and laugh at other tables while he barely acknowledged us. Even when he walked by, he didn’t check in or ask if we needed anything.

Almost 10 minutes went by and we were about to order our second round of food as I was about to ask a young lady to bring us some water but decided not to because i was still giving Chris the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was busy right? No. He was constantly back and forth with his other tables and talking to 2 girls who i’m assuming was his coworkers due to the banter between them but I couldn’t tell from where i was sitting.

He never even checked me out. I wanted to pay card but I just had to leave cash on the table because I was growing impatient at this point and very displeased with the service. That’s why i said if you want a free meal, Chris is your guy. lmao we could've left any dollar amount and just walked out. what kind of business...

ONLY BECAUSE THEY KEEP DELETING MY REVIEW! Honestly, extremely disappointed with this place & the lack of care. First off, the sauce bar had multiple small flies that were literally swarming around the sauces and the toppings they had there. We asked for management only to have to wait for a good 20 minutes for it to be addressed & asked twice for a resolution & it was sad to see how many people were literally serving themselves during this time. We were told that it had to do with dried up sauce and it attracts a fly or two but there were several and literally landing on the actual jalapeños and such. It was disgusting. I didn’t get the poor response and as much as I appreciated their attempt to discount our bill for this but i just didn’t get how this was the excuse and they were okay with people serving themselves during this wait time. but then myself and my peers noticed other unforgiving scenarios. Secondly, the amount of time we waited for our meat choices. We specifically would request 2 of each meat that we ordered and literally would get one of each or some orders were missed which led to us having to wait longer. We would even tell the guy who delivered the meat that we were missing and would just deliver and walk away. Not even peep a word. We even said we ordered double shrimp and the man walked away just to loop around after delivering others and said “here” like why wouldn’t you just listen to us in the first place? I will say our waiter was nice and attentive but you can tell he was stressed handling other tables while others were outside. It’s truly not his fault but I couldn’t bare giving him another complaint as I know he had so much going on. Our grill wasn’t hot enough. We kept cooking chicken for so long and it would still be raw. We had to ask to have it checked and turnt up. We even had to ask for our rice and veggies which came out 15 minutes after our meat did. I think the topping of the situation was going to the bathroom and seeing one of the workers come out of the bathroom stall and rinse their hands only. Literally rinse under water. No soap and walked out. So gross. I just felt like this experience was crappy. Both of my peers who accompany me came home and both threw up about an hour after visiting. I’m just not sure about this place anymore. I only came because the reviews weee decent but I definitely won’t be back to this location at all. This was enough to...
