Chilangos Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Kenner

I like the restaurant, the food is good , personally I don't find the food hot but the plate is , but it's possible that's because it's the way this food is served being " Hispanic " , it's not american food with the a Mexican twist . One of the issues i have is they dont have photos of the food youll get , so you dont know what it will be and or look like untill you are served . The waitresses are very nice , but many have a hard time with English but try hard to do a great job in understanding you and if not , there is somethere to make sure you get what your looking for .it's a nice size restaurant but not huge and they have a nice bar , they have tvs going but they are on Spanish channels so unless you know Spanish, we'll. The bathroom is only big enough for one person at a time but they do have a separate bathroom for each sex .the restaurant is geared to the Hispanic customer but everyone will feel welcomed , and although I have never been to central or south America I'm sure I have a taste of what I'd experience after dining here .I've been here a few times and I'll be sure to return , I'd say if you'd like to get real Hispanic food give this restaurant a try , just know it's a very laid back place .also if you prefer you can place orders to go over the phone if...

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING YOU HAVENT TRIED CAUSE IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU!!!! I came here with my girlfriend today because this used to be her favorite spot and I wanted to finally try it. When we walked in and sat at our table, our server greeted us and we put in our food. The food was phenomenal and we enjoyed every last bite; however, we were unsatisfied with the tortilla soup. When we tried to send it back and get it taken off the bill the waitress refused and said we were unable to do that. After waiting ten long minutes for her to return, my girlfriend decided to get her attention and ask for a Togo box for our tacos. The waitress brings the check with her and I instantly see the tortilla soup is the first thing on the ticket. I ask her again to remove it because we did not like it and we only took one bite from it. She walked away to talk to the manager and came back and said “sorry we can’t it’s not my rules” and I am appalled to say the least. Arrived at the restaurant at approximately 7:30 for taco Tuesday. The tacos was substandard, at eight dollars, margaritas $10 and didn’t have any alcohol in them. However, we parked our car at true value hardware next door.. When we finished the car was gone when questions about it. I was told by the Vallette that the car was towed in the parking lot. There are no signs visible that state. Nope that no parking and your car will be towed that you can see, and the restaurant didn’t have the courtesy to let their customer know that they cannot park there. That was a $300 night because it cost me $300 to get my car out of the From from the wrecker service. It’s a racket people foods. Terrible service is horrible half of the people in there. Don’t speak English and the restaurant evidently is in cahoots with the wrecker service.
