Lee's Seafood & Grill — Restaurant in Kenner

I literally didn’t even leave the parking lot before typing this. I have been coming to lee’s since 2015 long before they were even at their new location. I’ve left them with extra money on days the machines were down, tipped almost every visit went through paying atm fees with no complaints when they were only taking cash & always enjoyed my meal & customer service. Today, I went to pay for my food using Apple pay, as I was setting up to pay, I guess I wasn’t moving fast enough for the woman behind the counter because she then says with a rude tone that I need to move to the side if I need time but I didn’t need time though(just a little patience), I handed her my phone & she grabbed it so quick she had to give it back to me so I could re setup the payment but it didn’t work so she let me run and get my card from the car, when I came back, she tried my card (and because it was locked) the payment didn’t go through she literally sighed and mumbled something under her breath out of annoyance. She then hands it back to me saying loud enough for the entire line to hear that my card was declined. Okay no worries, I’ll stand to the side and just fix it. I unlocked my card but because a purchase was just tried I had to go through this annoying process to prove it wasn’t fraud. Once I was ready I looked up at her and she rudely me asked “are you ready” and still in a rude tone told me to get behind the man that was already paying even though there were clearly two ppl RIGHT behind him, like did she want me to bump them out the way?? Once I finally paid she yells from behind the divider “finally, it took you 3 times”. Now personally idc what anyone else thought because I know the truth of my situation but I’ve had to do the same thing in other places on days when I didn’t have enough money & I would have felt so degraded and horrible to be treated or spoken to like that. I will never come back here! It’s crazy because the whole time I was waiting I was thinking “oh she’s so pretty, she looks like she’s done something different with her hair” just admiring another woman’s natural beauty and of course I’ve seen her plenty times before but the attitude covered all of that. I will never look at her the same and she was always one of my favorite employees. My feelings are genuinely hurt. Maybe she’s just having a bad day but dang I am too. I wish they make a location on the Westbank! I asked the lady that every time I come to consider making a second location so I won't have to come all the way to Kenner. Their whole staff is very nice I remember one time I left my purse there and one of the staff members so it's sitting in a booth, when I realized it I have made it all the way home! I was so upset with myself because my car note and mortgage payment was inside of the purse! By the time I got back there the lady told me they found the purse but no one has went in the purse so she couldn't tell me if something was missing when I got the purse, all I can do was cry! Everything was inside of the purse untouched! I was so happy I asked for the guy that found my purse and gave him some money! even though the owner said I didn't have to I pleaded with her to let me give him the money because I was so thankful that he turned my purse into her! Okay now I'm getting to the food, this is very important. Remember, when you're in route to this place, matter of fact before you leave your house. Make sure you wear very loose pants! The moment you get to this establishment, soon as you open the door you will want everything you see! You know how many places I pass up just to get to please? Today, I had the opportunity to visit Lee's and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, the food quality exceeded my expectations, and the portion sizes were generous. While it may require venturing outside of the quarters, the experience is definitely worth it.

My fiancé and I decided to take a unique approach and ordered separate dishes to share. This allowed us to taste a variety of flavors. I opted for the fried chicken, green beans, and shrimp, while she chose the red beans and rice with southern pork chops. I must admit, I wasn't expecting everything to taste as good as it did. In the past, I have been to places where you receive less food for a much higher price, but at Lee's, you truly get value for your money.

Now, if you're looking for an extremely beautiful ambience, Lee's may not be the ideal spot. However, it is a quick and convenient place to indulge in quality food. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a satisfying meal and even have leftovers to take home.

Overall, I highly recommend Lee's for those seeking delicious, well-priced food without compromising on portion sizes. While the ambience may not be the main attraction, the dining experience is definitely one that won't...
