Not just bad, gross! It really is a shame when one of your favorite places, a tradition for your family even, lets quality go this bad. I live out of town now, and make it a point to hit up a select few favorites each visit back home. And unfortunately, this is strike three for Parran's. Every time I have ordered over the last couple of years they have gotten the order way wrong. This time, they got it right!... BUT...the roast beef poboy was flavorless to start... like they bought the lowest quality cut of meat...from a can... then every other bite was a mouthfull of grissel. And I am not one who hates a little griseel for flavor! This wqs so much it was like chewing rubbwr. Parran's, if you don't care anymore, neither do I. This place is off the list. Done for good. Best of luck, but if you guys don't start making some serious changes, more and more of these reviews are coming. How do I know? Because thw average pwrson is more like me, they give you a few chances before they finally are forced to leave a negative review. Look at all your 2 stars lately...coincidence? You guys keep just telling yourselves it's just us "picky customers" leaving them, and I'll keep waiting to find out which better place replaces you when you are forced to close your doors.

Read moreI have never wrote a bad review ever, but this place is horrible! Horrible customer service, horrible management and the food isn’t that great! I ordered 2 shrimp po-boy combo’s which come with 1 side NO drink! I asked the boy who took my order what are the sides he named the sides, so I said ok let me get 1 with fries and 1 with a gumbo. The gumbo is horrible btw. He never once mentioned that the gumbo was an $2.75 upcharge. (Remember he only read me the sides) I asked for the manager she said that the boy didn’t have to mention that the gumbo was a upcharge because I asked what the sides were and he told me. The manager is a joke! They charged me .40 for lettuce. Forty cent for lettuce lol. To add insult to injury they charged .50 for a to-go container, fifty cent for a container I never got because I dined in!!! When I mentioned that to the manager she said my order was put in a container already. Just loud and wrong!!! my order was brought out on glass plates! I even offered to walk her to the table so she could see herself. They refunded me the .50 lol. I have all of this on video, taking this to social media for the lack of customer service and ignorance. No wonder it was empty in there!!! If you must eat there go to the one in Metairie not...
Read moreThis place is very inconsistent and its starting to bother me... Today i noticed that my red beans are lighter than usual. I always check my food whenever I order take out! I been coming here for like 6 years and I've ordered the same thing red beans so I know exactly the portions of how much food they serve. So i asked the lady behind the counter why is there less food and she said with attitude we give everyone the same amount. Notice her choice of words, she said we give everyone the same amount of food which is her way of deffering the answer and not answering my question. I get it prices have gone up nationwide! Gas is higher food is higher I get it. I am a business owners myself so I know 1000% your place of business has been affected. Just increase your prices like everyone else in the world and let your customers know of the change. That way they can decide to continue to doing business with you or not. But what I dont like is when you use sneaky tactics such as changing the to go container sizes to make it seem like nothings changed and charge me the regular prices.
