My family and I stopped in last night after a very long day, my husband had mentioned to the gentleman working that we had been on the road all day. Unbeknownst to Tony who was serving us, my kids and I had left at 5 am to get my husband and another teammate from Ft. Stewart due to injuries, and were dropping his teammate off at home before a 3 hr trip home. My son was all over the place from being confined, my daughter was ready to get home and talk to her friends, and we were physically and mentally mush. All Tony knew was we had been on a long trip, we were stressed, and everyone was tired. He suggested great plates, made two sampler style platters for my indecisive kids, and made sure we were taken care of. Let me preface this with, I’m not a huge BBQ fan, but I was left awestruck by the food.. The BBQ was delicious with the perfect balance of fat to meat, well flavored, and the sauces were great! The sides were off the chain! The Macaroni and cheese had gooey real cheese, the fried okra was perfect, but the star was the jalapeño baked beans! Tony walked past before taking a break to let us know the ice cream machine was ready, the service was top notch! My love was so impressed with the service and food, he decided to buy a brownie for our daughter so he could give him a tip, but Tony must have known because when we tried he gave the brownie to us and wouldn’t take no for an answer. The soft serve was delicious too, it had a very nice homemade vanilla flavor, and we left to head home. We just woke up this morning and heated up the leftovers, and it is just as good today! I told him we were going back, it’s worth the trip for the food alone, but the service is on another level! He had no clue the day we had, but that small town service and delicious food ended our night out with a good note! Dickie’s is a whole new level of comfort food, and we intend to hook the rest of his team and unit on this BBQ joint, as well as coming back! It’s worth the drive for amazing food and service! Thank y’all again, it...
Read moreI'll start with the employee taking orders/plating the food and taking payment. He doesn't listen well. It's cool to chit chat with customers but you have to listen period. He forgot the Texas toast and I reminded him. He was about to give me cold fries. They had been sitting in the fry basket over the grease since I walked in. It was 2 people ahead of me before I ordered. I asked for fresh french fries. The order was for 2 french fries. Dude had to drop another batch of fries and then was going to charge me for it. Mind you I paid $21+ for the meal which was $5+ of taxes and probably the fries he thought he didn't charge me for. Get my plate and everything accepted the fries was cold. We didn't finish eating. We just threw away. While sitting there a customer calls in upset about an order where things were missing. Shift supervisor was explaining to him about customer service and wanting to keep the customer happy. Dude was just talking. Fast forward while I was waiting on my order the owner comes in and he is talking to her. She told him to focus on the orders. He was not wearing a hair net. Again the meats were cold. I love good BBQ. I eat at Dickies back home in Mississippi at least 3-4 times a year and they have great customer service and food is hot. My food was definitely not worth $21. More like $5. This location does not honor any of the perks or deals through the app according to the employee. I'll continue to eat at Sonny's, Rodney Scott and Fox Brothers if I ever want BBQ while visiting in the Metro Atlanta area. I hope they get it together soon. I will not...
Read moreCan I give negative stars? I'm not a fan of leaving negative reviews, I would rather leave praise but I was very disappointed by the service. I ordered off the app and scheduled a 6:30 pick up. I call from outside in my car to see if my orders were complete. I did this to make sure I didnt have to be in close proximity to those standing outside the door or whoever's was inside. I was told be the "manager" that he couldn't tell me if my order was ready and that I would have to come inside to find that out. My older was not ready but I didnt find this out for a while since I was not greeted/acknowledged by the employees that were there for at least 5 mins. I expect a " Hi, I or someone will be with you in a moment". Then when someone did speak to me she was nice but my order was not done and when we got home all ingredients advertised were not on the sandwiches. My father went after I did and was told his online order with clear proof would no be fulfilled because they didnt get a print off on their side. Why are reference codes made available on the app to show to the cashier if the stop cannot support the code. He had to REORDER another meal and it was not compensated.
I dont know it you require masks... but no one had one on....
I've been in customer service for 15 years. This was...
